I have a growing library of VNs on Steam. If its good enough I want to replay it, then its worth supporting the dev IMO
Same.

Started off I bought a couple of RPGM games I enjoyed but once I started seeing VN's popping up i'd played I bought them too.

Only time I really notice how much I spend on those is when the dev has multiple games and a small block in my Steam library is just one dev.

Other side of that is i'm not really a fan of monthly payments for things so a one of payment to Steam is ideal.

while I agree in principle on the steam stuff, I don't buy those games that go with the season type of model where you have to purchase each season individually. By that time it's out I've already played it anyway and I don't particularly like the business model. If it's a one-time purchase like this game where you'll get all future updates for free, then it's a no-brainer.
Totally agree. For instance, I bought and played the first two seasons of BADIK before discovering F95 and realizing an Interlude episode had already been developed. If I still stick until DPC finishes the whole season 3 and puts it on Steam, I will have to wait for at least another 4 years AND for another purchase which is insane. I very much prefer a one-time purchase with subsequent free updates.

early access on steam is one option, but that doesn't help developers that rely on monthly donations. most will have to have a day-job, and that does not leave much time for development or real life commitments... personally wish i could help more developers that creates good content.

Yeah, PoP would need to make close to 10x as much as it does for me to leave my day job. So...I definitely still have a day job and make the game after work every day.

I like the overall story, but the sex scenes really let this VN down. They tend to be incredibly short and lack any real substance/sexiness.

Also, the dialogue where he's freaking out about children felt entirely excessive. A few lines that trail off, then an "X minutes later" cut that leads into a couple more lines to show that he's still lost in his thoughts on the matter would deliver the same impression/impact without the verbosity.

I think that game is good. But it takes so long for any relationships besides the main girl to develop. Why do they even exist?

There needs to be separate pregnancy tags. There needs to be one for "endgame pregnancy" and one for "pregnancy planned" Nothing where there isn't visible pregnancy should ever be getting tagged with pregnancy.

So... I take it you're not going for the throuple/harem path?
Due to her alone, hell no. For one she's a herbalist and familiar with sicknesses apparently, so there's no way she didn't know that the infertility plague wasn't contageous considering she was also living with the remnants for awhile and they knew a lot of details about it. How it spread, how much time they had till it arrived, etc., yet, she kept it quiet until she got to the island knowing full well it was a risk to the islanders. That fact alone makes her pretty dispicable. Knowingly infecting people is actually a crime. Don't even get me started on her "it makes me uncomfortable with you 2 being affectionate" manipulative BS...

They story itself is freaking awesome though, she just kind of ruins parts of it for me.

Okay, considering when she arrived, that's a big assumption.

They'd been living with the "curse" for over a decade when she arrived. It was a fact of life, not an emerging problem. She was -- to them -- probably a dead-person walking. Why bother telling her about something that was irrelevant to her situation. So the chance of her not knowing it even existed is reasonable, even if surprising.

Of course she could have known, which would make her actions questionable, but unless it's revealed later that she did, there's no reason to believe she didn't.

If it turns out she was hiding it later, hopefully that'll allow the MC to adjust his opinion, but everything else about this game says that's not the type of story Pandaman is telling, so at this point you're just projecting traits onto her that she's not displaying.

EDIT: About the only thing that makes her even slightly creepy is the reveal that she had a thing for the MC before she was excommunicated and she didn't reveal it ... when he appeared as her savior with the apparent love of his life. As for the being uncomfortable with these new friends being intimate with each other in your presence ... yea, that doesn't make any sense at all...
