But we will have sex right? :D
We will have sex...right?
Oh, for sure, but not for a while. Maria's not "easy" by any stretch of the imagination, but once she's 100% sure she wants to have sex with Michael and the stars all align for them... You can imagine what'll happen. Repeatedly, if Maria has any say in it.

Ty for the reply.

I know it says its "slow burn" and so on, I just asked if was still in the blue ball fest time or not since I don't start a "porn" game until it has a sex scene and yeah HJ don't count.

No ill feelings was just a question ;)

Wait wait wait...
If the MC is now a Dalton, then legally speaking Maria Dalton is his cousin. But then again, this is medieval times inspired, so... :BootyTime::BootyTime:

Unfortunately, for the first time ever, this chapter had something I really, really didn't like.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Except that is NOT the trope that was used. He wasn't secretly a noble all along. Her uncle, honoring the MC's father's request to look after him, and being without an heir decided, based on the qualities he discovered in the MC, to make the MC his heir. Sort of a posthumous adoption. Yeah he'd decided that the MC was an honorable and good fit for Maria, and reconnected them. But if that didn't work out he knew that as his heir, the MC would be in a position to protect her from anyone trying to dispute her position or force her into an unwanted marriage.

Her uncle removed NONE of Maria's agency. In fact he protected it. She's not "subservient in her own house". She need not marry. Her ownership of her half of the house is protected whether or not she and the MC end up together. She's not "a hunter's future wife". She controls her future and only becomes the MC wife if she and he choose for that to happen.

Definitely not - she's the main LI. No way would Michael do her dirty like that, and there's no way she would forgive him or let him get away with it either.

Code:
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
  File "game/ch6.rpy", line 1655, in <module>
NameError: name 'menu_set' is not defined

-- Full Traceback ------------------------------------------------------------

Full traceback:
File "ch6.rpyc", line 1653, in script
File "renpy/ast.py", line 1683, in execute
File "renpy/exports.py", line 1002, in menu
  File "renpy/python.py", line 2266, in py_eval
  File "renpy/python.py", line 2259, in py_eval_bytecode
  File "game/ch6.rpy", line 1655, in <module>
NameError: name 'menu_set' is not defined
Got this error during the scene when legacy takes MC to the sky after burning the body.
Interesting, I'll look into that...

Did you find a solution to this?
Because I'm getting the same error with the newest version of the game.

You're the only person who's reported this issue and I can't repro it myself on either the PC/Linux or Android builds. Did you unren the game and modify it, apply a mod, etc.? That variable (menu_set) is defined literally 4 lines before (on line 1651), so there's no reason it shouldn't be working properly. All it does is create a set so that you can only click on an option once, so it's a very straightforward, core Ren'py/Python functionality.

I actually did a clean install without unren and still got the same message. The only thing I kept were my saves.
It doesn't matter if I use unren or not or if I use Zoey's mod or not.
I always get the same error message.
Interesting...

EDIT:
Ok, that's even weirder now...
After I encountered the error I rolled back one step and saved the game.
Every time this save led to the same error no matter what I did. Even a clean Install didn't help.

Now I just loaded my former save and skipped through to this very point and it works now.
So I wanted to see what caused this error.
- I did at first an unren. Skipped through from my older save and it works now.
- Then I set all the console and rollback related parameters of the unren like I do it usually. Skipped through again from my older save and it still works.
- Now I added also Zoey's Mod. Skipped through again from my older save and it also works...
Turns out this was a mysterious error. Reason unknown.
Well, at least it works now.

This mostly seems conjecture to me. "He is my godson" suggests that this wasn't by some merit and virtue-based choice, it was simply expected of him. There is nothing about an active decision to make Michael his heir. Or did I miss something?

His letter explicitly says he left everything to Michael. If (and only if) Michael is dead, she gets anything at all. There is nothing in there whatsoever about "her share". Turns out I was wrong about this bit, see comment below.

As I said, she loses everything if she doesn't marry the guy.
Nope, Maria already said in the game that the estate was already split between her and her uncle. They each owned half of it, the assumption that was broken was that all of his property would go to her (being his only living relative) but instead it's going to the MC due to his will,

Even if they don't marry, Maria still owns the half of the estate that she inherited from her parents
.

Ah, I must have misremembered that. Thanks! I've updated my comment.

IIRC, and my memory is far from perfect ,you did. In the letter when he describes the boon requested by the MC's father to look after him, he mentions how his observations of the MC and the MC's interactions with Maria convinced him to name the MC as his heir. That is mentioned before he talks about feeling toward the MC as his Godson. Open to interpretation but not simple speculation.
