I mean this game isn't about sex it's a story first , relationship building game first and foremost. So it's not any surprise it's not even a porn game. Tho if you didn't read any reviews I can see why you would be surprised but idk for me from the first chapter I knew it was going to be like that. It would be weird if the just jumped into having sex right away especially given the world setting and Maria being nobility.

Yeah, I wish more people knew that the game is very plot-focused before playing, but alas. I'm glad the plot-focused people are enjoying it, though!

I wanted to tell that person that thinks the game went bad after the throuple, that that was like his decision... but then... they wouldn't understand, and I really can't be bothered anymore...Yeah, I wish more people knew that the game is very plot-focused before playing, but alas. I'm glad the plot-focused people are enjoying it, though!

I think I was the first one ever to bring that up maybe a couple of months ago (?), I don't remember. And as I said back then, I was hesistant to do so because I loved the game and didn't want to sound like a hater.
But now I've seen half a dozen other users mention the same thing in the past weeks, and I wouldn't want the dev and other regular users to look at the finger instead of focusing on the moon when someone expresses their opinion on the sex scenes.
When someone points out that in their opinion the sex scenes aren't good, you should disregard any additional statement about this being a "porn game." This isn't a porn game, it is an adult story-driven game with sex elements. But that's not the point.
As I said back then, the fact that this is a story-focused game doesn't mean that the sex scenes can't be satisfying when they do take place.
Once again, the sex scene in this update was as poor as they have been since the beginning of the game. At this point, I'd rather the game didn't show any sex at all; I'd prefer it to hint that the characters are going to have sex, and then fade to black when they're starting to get intimate, like in old movies. I'd still love the game for what it is, for the characters and the story it's narrating.
As they are now, the sex scenes take away for the overall quality of the game. Months or even years of build-up for yet another letdown.
Lately, I just end up pressing Ctrl to skip them and that's a real shame.

that's exactly what I meant. I didn't want to reply anymore since all that was taken from my comment further up was the part someone else wrote about a "porn game" which it obviously isn't.
It lacks passion and feels like development isn't fun anymore, just a chore to be done. The intimate scenes in the beginning were passionate, when MC and Maria got to know each other. Even when Emilia was (again) falling for MC it was nicely written and I could feel with her. But since Emilia joined the "couple" she's felt like a burden to the story (I don't mean the relationship), not a gain.
Regarding this porn stuff: The VN clearly isn't porn, I couldn't care less if there is explicit penetration or not. It lacks passion, care, interest, like Aristos said it could have just left out and it would feel more polished. But Emilia asking for getting rammed and used hard for her first time with her great love is just not credible.
The plot is great though.

I have a question, but I don't know if it was already answered. Will there be a path where we can end up without Maria (Default name) as a partner? Like they split up because the MC cheated, he didn't want to continue the "relationship" they have, or he wanted to be with another character.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are doing well and staying cool this summer. I have not been, since my damn office keeps heating up to 85+ degrees F when I'm running renders.
Besides the issue of slowly broiling myself alive, development is going fairly well on Chapter 23. If you couldn't tell from Chapter 22 or from the name - this is a big, important update. I'm not even done with the second scene (out of six) yet and I have almost half a normal update's worth of renders. This second scene will answer the lingering questions/concerns I know many of you have about a certain scene in Chapter 22 (IYKYK), so it's very important to me that I do it right. So far, I think it's come out quite well, so it's just a matter of continuing to grind out the renders.
In terms of release ETA, I'm hopeful/optimistic about end of July, but given how big and important this update is, that could very easily slip into early August (per the roadmap). I'll keep you all posted either way.
Special renders should be out next weekend, and they'll be very thematic for the hot week(s) most of the US has been experiencing recently! Until then, you can always catch me on the Discord if you have questions. great game. very few choices though. almost a kinetic novel, but that's not a bad thing here. the story is the focus. the adult content could be deleted from the game, and it would not make a difference to me.
I had a bit of hope that the character stats would matter. they only add a small amount of flavor, but break immersion several times. might as well remove them from the game, or remove the out of game explanation at least.

the writing quality if great. the weakest writing is actually the MC. he is almost bland compared to the other characters. Eve is a great addition to the cast.

That scene wasn't out of place in an usual AVN, but in this one it felt a bit off for sure. So I thought that maybe Emilia could have been affected by the disease, or the fact that she was being cured at the same time. it might affect all kinds of hormones. her womb was being reconstructed too. I guess that depends on what kind of action you're talking about. Sex scenes, there'a a few, but the game is not really focused on sex. It's all about the great story. Fighting and combat, there are a few scenes. I'd probably say the game is more adventure focused than anything else.

Great game! I usually thought post-apocalyptic stories were a bit too weird, but I think even the great Shannara fantasy novels were technically post-apocalyptic. I like that Price of Power has both Mediaeval-type and science fiction elements, so almost science fantasy with the exception magic might not be real in this game (always fun but doesn't matter).
