Wait until you find out how this exact behaviour caused the creator of Towergirls, Gats (the artist whose artstfyle Towerfag is copying painstakingly, hence why the art takes so long) to wage and WIN a lawsuit against him because Towerfag was incredibly hostile and aggressively "insisted" that because Towergirls started out as a shitpost and then forum game on /tg/ that it was public domain, not Gats's copyright. Yeah, uh... Gats has an official Towergirl game now and the courts mandated Towerfag rip up the art style and stuff of P&C enough to differentiate them, and uh... the bro is kinda refusing.

... Also the dev name on steam is LITERALLY Towerfag, I know it's an endearing term on 4chan but a bro who insists on that being their official dev name sort of... encourages, a lot of personalities like that, ya know? He's a talented pixel artist, great dev, just... Kinda need to walk lightly around the community it seems.

P.S. If Gats or the mods want me to edit this and remove the drama or such I'm chill to, lemme know.

There's a recent CG rip somewhere in the last pages, close to the 19.1 release post I think. As for animations, they are unfortunately separated as individual sprites in the game's assets. It's possible to get all the individual frames and then stitch them back together as an animation, but you won't find anyone who is going to bother with that when there's an in-game gallery (kinda).

I tried opening the game's code and get the cheats from it. Even though I did find where they were (an event associated to the player character actor, 995 for stable and 996 for beta), somehow none of them work. They are either bugged in this beta version or I've got the wrong thing. If someone else has done that successfully in the past, I'd be interested to know where they are actually supposed to be.

I tried opening the game's code and get the cheats from it. Even though I did find where they were (an event associated to the player character actor, 995 for stable and 996 for beta), somehow none of them work. They are either bugged in this beta version or I've got the wrong thing. If someone else has done that successfully in the past, I'd be interested to know where they are actually supposed to be.

Frankly, I don't remember /how/ I got the cheats the last time. 2 or 3 separate extraction programs and digging through event codes iirc, took me ~2 hours the first time.

Yeah, I used a decrypter to extract it as a whole rpgm vx ace project than got it loaded in rpgm. Gonna have to say, as someone who is using it for the first time, it's a fucking mess. Took me about that to find the events with cheats only to find out they don't work

Here's what I got out of the cheats event thing, in case they miraculously work for someone else and it's just my version that's somehow borked

Gave it another go, wasn't too bad.

1) Decrypt the Game.rgss3a w/
You must be registered to see the links
and extract all w/ 'generate project' checked
2) Open the generated project in RPG Maker VX Ace
3) Tools -> Script Editor -> Ctrl+Shift+F -> 'Cheats', find the entry that has an event ID, in this case it's '511'
4) Tools -> Database -> Navigate to event 511
5) Go through and find the codes.

Example above. First chest is randomizing NPCs it seems, code it '403762'. This will work for the version you extracted it for, in this case 19.01.

Your cheats are for a different version. Assuming you have more than one copy extracted and you pulled the cheats for one version and attempted to use them in another version. Give mine a try w/ 19.01.

Yeah, I was looking at events 995 and 996, which are also labeled cheats and contain the same code structure but are outdated (duplicates and the likes seem to be a recurrent problem looking through the assets)
