So, the patreon page is under review for now, what happened?

Probably the Gats stuff coming back to bite the game development. Gats and Towerfag are on a legal fight going on. Gats seems to dislike the game because it has battle rape on it. (And rape on games goes against patreon guidelines).

Judging from the 8chan thread there are plenty of people unhappy with some of the game's design choices, so any one of them could have reported the game (for rape, for instance).

From what others have said (including in this thread) there were several attempts to solve this "peacefully" before.

Well people talk a lot before the day ends. Both sides always try to put the errors to the "hostile side" to be the good guy. We can only guess who is the "hero" and who is the "villain". Without waterproof informations (and i doubt anyone besides Gats/Towerfag can offer them) we are well equipped to jump from pitfall to pitfall without finding out what's going on.

That's what i believe but i can be horrible wrong with that. Only time will tell. :cryingface:

I have no dog in this fight. I tried the game and while I liked the concept the combat system really isn't for me.

No, Gats has stated repeatedly in the 8chan /hgg/ thread (you'd need to pull up the archived threads and ctrl+f "gats!InMdw2ujCc" if you want to see his posts in the matter, and for transparency, you can use "Towerfag!V.NTxylH8Y" for towerfag's posts from the 2nd/3rd archive onwards) that this isn't why he came to his decision. I'm not claiming to be a mouthpiece for Gats (he can come here himself if he wants to) so much as I'll claim to be a "mouthpiece" for the anons on /hgg/ that Towercuck is eluding to on his patreon (attachment related), but to clear matters up a bit...

• The lawsuit is largely being filed by Gats (to our current knowledge) because Towerfag is insisting that IP for Towergirls doesn't exist and/or is public IP. This is blatantly false and pretty much forced Gat's hand in the matter whether he wanted to or not. Gats has already had to fight off this false statement in the past when mobile app companies in Europe tried to steal his copyright/make it impossible for artists to make Towergirls games/art such as the one Towerfag is currently making
• Towerfag and Gats had several talks on this and Gats flat-out told us Towerfag could keep using Towergirls assets, he just wanted him to not call it Towergirls, hence the most recent patreon post by towerfag regarding changing the name to "T*wergirls."
• Towerfag is insistent on calling it Towergirls because he knows his cuck game won't go anywhere if it's not leeching off the Towergirls IP (or at least this is what /hgg/ speculates)
• At least for /hgg/, it's not about the "non-con" content, but about the NTR scenes that he keeps falsely calling "battlefucks."
• /hgg/ originally asked him to just label that the game contained NTR content in the tags or something since he wasn't staying true to source material, and his response (as can be seen from the archives) was to insult and childishly attack us with false DMCA requests and the like
• Towerfag only added the option to "remove NTR content" (read: remove half the game's content) as a form of damage control when he realized we weren't going to let him off the hook for his previous behavior and we were gonna create a mod to do just that
• /hgg/ is officially taking a hands-off approach (as can be seen by the Moderator's new thread on the matter and how it's redirecting doxxing attempts over to /cow/ or /baphomet/) until all legal action has finished taking place

I'll stick around to answer any questions people have about /hgg/'s beef with Towerfag, and I will try to refrain from shit flinging (this post was to explain things from a different perspective than Towerfag's, but since this is more or less a throwaway account for accessing DL links and relaying what anons are saying, I'm unable to post links to the archives other than directing you to the /hgg/ thread as of this time), but I will ask that you take anything I say at face value since I'm just relaying what anons are saying over on /hgg/ in a less aggressive format.

There's so many misplaced assumptions reported as real in there that I think I'll just head to bed (it's 2 am afterall).
I won't talk on anyone's behalf, just for myself.
I don't believe there is anything wrong when I say that Gats didn't like many things about the game, battlefucks being one of them.
What /hgg/ believes is as important as what anyone else does, but it doesn't mean that I should just go and change how things work accordingly to your desires, the game is already highly open to customizations.

Nobody is stopping anyone from checking all the Towergirls games you cited (what's crusaders?). Subtitle Pending has been in development for what, 4 years? I think there's plenty of people aware that it exists.

The only thing ill add is this game is really quite lighthearted and honestly the battle rape mechanic just kind of comes off out of place like the only other thing that is even remotely in the same realm of having cute girly things raped is the psycho dog girl. Everything else is really tame. As a comparison CoC and TiTS that where mentioned earlier are a cluster fuck of the weird, wacky and wonderful from sapling romances with cute cat ladies to being assaulted by a maniacal bimbo robot armed with dick syringes and automatic dildo rifles, or stinging you're penis with a bees stinger then shagging the bee after because you're dick is swollen and itchy, as that's obviously the only remedy... this reminds me i need to play TiTS again.
