I remember a few rpg's that didn't have much of a tutorial, with the one from this game being about the same or maybe even better than some of the old games. The most recent one I can remember by name is Inquisitor, though I think the old Diablo games were like that too
Yo, inquisitor was a nightmare to play, it took so long to get past the first area, and multiple rerolling of characters. I finally decided to just be a mage or something like that. As for the Ultima games never tried them but I should now.
You are gonna ask yourself "why!" a lot of times if you endavour on this venture without ANY guidance (internet or friends)... months of bashing your head against the wall and you learn it's some of the most insane game logic. 1 and 2 are very old, I didn't play those games. I wouldn't know how they function.

You goofed, son. Skeleton kingdom and skeletons in general depend on the life force of the world being low. This isn't something that's explained, unfortunately, but on the mechanics page for princess conquest it is. Basically the whole world has a life force and it fluctuates depending on whats going on. It goes down when you gift the cornucopia to a living reign (which causes death) or during war and goes up when there's peace and kingdom lewdness. The more life there is, the less dead there are, and the reverse is true, so the skeleton kingdom and undead directly reflect the state of the world.
Princess are sold as slaves after their kingdom falls and you save them from being killed by telling them to submit after reaching them during a siege. It might take a few days for the princess to be sold off to the goblin kingdom but you should see them eventually as a slave. You're likely seeing only kobolds because only the kobold kingdom has fallen and the slave market reflects the kingdoms that have fallen, namely those who are wandering without a home to return to.
Yeah asking for an explanation is like kicking a nest of wasps, because the argument divided people's opinion about who was right or about their behaviour, but as you can see, both had their faults. It's also quite messed up and i'm not sure that i can recall all the entire thing or that i want people start arguing even here. Let say they had a copyright disagreement and the lawsuit stopped Towerfag to publish his work for the entire duration, which made some people happy and other people livid even if allowed Towerfag to redo all the artworks and then be free from any obligations and do what he wants with his NOT!Towergirls game
Oh man, Its a long and somewhat complicated story that's best left undisturbed. Towerfag won the lawsuit this being the second time this has happened so Towerfag had to completely rebrand everything to avoid any future legal issues. I'm just glad its over and we can all move forward.

You have to catch a fairy first before you can reach the little island in the southeast. You can catch fairies by entering the little forest area north of golem princess reign (the fairy princess is there standing around). Run towards one of the random fairies and catch them. After that you can either enter dragon princess II reign by going north of human princess reign or going east of cat princess reign (in the southern area of the kingdom by crossing mice reign) and look there for sparkles.
