I have the same problem, black squares even with the patch. My saves are from the last update before this, are the saves not compatible?
X-Dew Whenever i try to craft something at the artisan bench the game bugs out and gives me an error. I researched that skills can reach level 2 and i think whenever it switches from lvl 1 to lvl 2, the game breaks. Maybe it has to do with me having 25/25 before reasearching to be able to go to level 2? Just a guess though.
Here is what i do:
I go to the artisan bench and it looks like this.
Then i craft anything (it happens with all the crafting options) and then the screen looks like this:
If i then want to exit the crafting menu this error happens, also note the Tailoring +1 appears, even though im at the artisan station:

I just started this game today, so the save file is pretty fresh. I also just downloaded the 3.3 version that you posted just a few minutes ago, but the bug keeps happening.
X-Dew I also just checked with the new patch if the black squares are gone, they are still there.

Fastest patch ever. The black squares are gone for me. However, the crafting bench error still persists. Unless i need to start a new game. Compared to the error message that i posted before, only the first line "YEP_Optimize......." seems to be different now.

Thing is, there is already a princess in the tower game with a goblin game, from this same dev with the same premise. Anyone that wants to be a goblin are free to play that game. This game started with a human MC and there was zero reason to change it. Would've also allowed to explore different angles and story lines, instead of rethreading the same plots that are already there in the other game.

There is no shower in the game, just a washtub. Its in your room (research and craft washtub).

Look here.The reason it was changed was because the dev asked his Patreon supporters to vote for whether the MC should be a human or a goblin and the majority opted for a goblin. You could argue that there are already plenty of training games where the trainer is a human, so it's interesting to have something different.
The majority voted goblin because the majority was a patreon because of the first game. The outcome of the vote was already set before it was created.
