Oh, absolutely not. It's been actively worked on for a long time now with consistent monthly updates. No big new versions have been releases, only small previews, but that's because they dev already explained the next big new version would be the full version ages ago.

Wow this is fantastic!! Sprite art sidescrollers are the best!
The gameplay is excellent as well as the art and even the cg's.
