Compat Series Part 4: “Alchemist.”
An upgraded version of the Magician, they wield “Poison Orbs” and “Fire Pillar.”
The “Poison Orbs” created by alchemists are troublesome entities that relentlessly pursue Ish on the same floor.
They possess no attack power themselves, but if they touch the player or deal damage, they burst, spreading a poison damage zone across the area.
“Fire Pillar” is a ranged attack similar to the Magician's Thunder spell, but unlike Thunder's short attack window, it cannot be dodged with ↓ Dodge.
Both attacks have lingering effects, making positioning and Ish's ranged skills crucial against this troublesome foe.
Regarding production progress, this month we've nearly completed implementing all “special moves” and “items.”
While this isn't immediately visible... it's a huge relief and a significant step forward.
Setting aside minor details and repetitive tasks, the remaining major work is as follows:
- Final area map tiles and backgrounds (60% complete)
- Final area level design and gimmicks (10% complete)
- Final boss animations and implementation (20% complete)
- Main story implementation (50% complete)
- Sub-event implementation (30% complete)
Personally, the biggest hurdles are the map tiles I struggle with and the massive amount of final boss animations. Once I get those done, I think it'll be a lot easier mentally...
Some of you might be feeling overwhelmed hearing each percentage, but I genuinely feel we're making steady progress step by step.
