Just to say that at the thread of the translation of this game, the guy translating posted a message recently saying he's still working on the translation and is now about 95% done.

Fucking love this game but not being able to edit values sucks and the debug is to extreme it's all or nothing. Ok the stats don't change it is cause of the debug sword that spawns in your hand that add the stats. The entire class/label thing is dope mainly for the small touches that speech and certain prices change... like all the games should have something that neat as well as the no tedious walking and walking and walking. The crime thing is pretty disgusting and retarded... save lives and minds crime beat down rapists more crime maybe kill scumbag guard... crime. That alone would be fine if if there was a way to decrease crime... like being in a sinking rowboat but instead of a bucket you use a thimble to bail the water. Spread cheeks and giving up ain't really a option. I think the most disgusting thing or pretty much the only disgusting thing about the MC is her incompetence at slitting throats to finish a job

Seems the most fun way to play is just unlock and equip the super sword so you dont need to rng dice rolls, worry about item stats or avoid getting into what can sometimes be a rather drawn out fight

If I try to run this game with japanese locale and even as an administrator, it just gets greyed out and tells me that the game is not working. What to do?

As previously mentioned, game only runs in a Japanese language emulator. Like Locale Emulator. File link is in this thread somewhere. Changes to your OS to use Jap Locale doesnt work. Use emulator.

Yeah, Japanese Article 175 of the Criminal Code,
"A person who distributes, sells or displays in public an obscene document, drawing or other objects shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than 2 years, a fine of not more than 2,500,000 yen or a petty fine. The same shall apply to a person who possesses the same for the purpose of sale. Including recording media containing [obscene] electronic or magnetic records."

Japan has a long history of censorship. in the 1950's they convicted the translator of the novel "Young lady Chatterly". 2004 was the first convictions of manga creators. Two artists were arrested and convicted. Each received a Y500,000 fine, and one of them a 1 year suspended prison sentence.

This is why nearly all porn and hentai published in Japan includes censorship of some kind. There are very few ways around this, for anyone producing content within Japan. One method is to have a Japanese version and an International version of content. But they must be careful to not be found in violation of showing or selling obscene materials. So it gets tricky.

Japanese Censorship is actually a fascinating subject, worth a couple minutes to research.

In regards to this game "Princess Sacrifice", it is a legitimate game that was produced and published in Japan in 2013. So naturally it would be under the full restrictions with the 'official' released title.

It's frustrating as all hell, because while Japanese society as a whole (at least the under-40 demographic) has super liberal views on sexuality, Japanese politics are so stiflingly status-quo and "face" based that even politicians who are sympathetic to such views don't even try to promote them because it would immediately torpedo their career.

It's just bizarre how in one of the most advanced countries on the planet, expressing support for allowing people to see digital poles and holes is as politically suicidal as a US rep campaigning on bestiality legalization.

The biggest irony here is, these "decency" laws they uphold so zealously as to almost make them part of their national identity? They were put into place by the post-WWII quasi-puppet government.

Does anyone know how to resolve this error?
Move the game to a shorter path that contains only 7-bit ASCII characters (i.e. `C:\hgames\feena\`) and switch your OS to use Japanese codepage for all non-unicode programs. You really should do that if you want to play japanese h-games.

I've found steps for Windows 10 below on the net. I don't have a Windows installation to verify them.

1. In search tab type "Region" and press enter.
2. In new window select "Administrative"
3. then click on "change system locale"
4. Select Japanese language.

Elijnis I am doing a remix project and want to borrow and rework some of your PS translation with appropriate attribution. I'm happy to share the edited results back with you, if useful, but they won't be in any kind of livemaker format. Is that cool with you? I didn't see any license info in your release regarding the translation so I am assuming its open for community use. Thanks for your hard work on this -- parts of the translation are really weird and elegant (meant as a compliment).

Doing a virgin route. Completely stuck on the point where I seemingly only can fight a dragon. Not sure if I need to beat the dragon to proceed but the fight doesn't look doable at that point (and I skipped the text leading up to it because that was the most MTL part of this game). Great game till that point though.
