I meant to post this announcement much earlier.
But I wanted to wait until most of my responsibilities had temporarily settled down before saying anything.
I didn’t expect 2025 to be this difficult.
Real life has been turbulent, and I’ve gone through some challenging times — not just financially, but emotionally as well.
Like the characters in the story, I’ve come to understand myself better through these struggles.
Things are always more complicated than they appear.
Far more complicated than outlining scenes in Profiler.
Anyway, I won’t go into too much detail on that.
Let’s talk about my career plans.
Over the past year or so, I’ve been in a semi-break state, which allowed me to develop efficiently and update frequently.
Now, it’s time to find a full-time job and return to a more stable routine.
(This is also why this announcement took so long. I've been busy preparing for job interviews.)
That shift will inevitably affect Profiler's development timeline.
To manage this, I’ve decided to split the story into two seasons.
My goal is to finish Season One as soon as possible, to give my characters the closure they deserve.
Once my schedule stabilizes, I plan to upgrade both my hardware and software.
Season Two of Profiler will feature improved visual rendering.
(Yes, Renders can definitely look better. A 3060 Ti and i5-9400F can only go so far.)
Let’s hope the new job doesn’t burn me out too much.
I’ll do my best to find a balance between work and creation, and keep Profiler shining through the messiness of life.

I'm curious if that whole dream loop section is inspired by the much regretted Silent Hills P.T. Or maybe I'm just game illiterate and just see a horror-ish loop game section and my monkey brain goes "HEY IS THAT SILENT HILLS P.T?".
Anyway, I found the scene very neat. I guess it was to show that MC got a two-tier defense system in his head, Mr Voice and now Celeste, against the world-ending thingy that it's in his body and gets him bad dreams.

First of all, I want to sincerely thank you all for your patience during this time.
Here’s a quick update on how things are going:
I recently started a new job at a marketing company as a project manager.
Tbh, it’s been quite challenging and has taken up most of my time.
But the good news is—I’m finally in a stable place mentally and physically, which means I can get back to developing Profiler 0.4!
The progress is currently around 50%．
If everything goes smoothly, there’s a good chance I’ll be able to release the new version in October, depending on my workload.
In addition to game updates, I’m also planning to gradually release some exclusive tracks on Spotify, including character theme songs that will appear in future versions of the game.
Profiler means a lot to me.
The pace of updates may vary, but until the end of Season 1, I have no intention of giving up(Astrel wouldn’t allow that anyway)

Yes I do use it, but this is a different mod that tells you what each option does. Unlike the URM, if you know how to use it, you can modify options and variables.

Is the mod Universal Put URMx52 it in the search engine and there it will appear, There you can download the most updated version, I have one or two back, and I have it for Android although there is also one for PC
This game has a lot of potential, with good renders, interesting characters and a story that grabs you. It could use more sex scenes though.
I don't like the text effects at all, don't get me wrong they look great but it can make things difficult to read sometimes. I *really* don't like the fact that the game keeps changing the text speed. It throws off the reading pace and often causes me to skip lines or I can't prompt the full line to appear. There's a 'Text Speed' option in the preferences for a reason and people often don't like it when that setting gets hijacked or ignored by the game.
This is worsened during animation sequences; a perfect example is during the dream scene where the MC is walking through the subway over and over again. It's a scene where nothing is really happening for the reader and no new information seems to be given so I'm not really invested in it, but I'm being slowed down by the slow appearance of text and don't have the ability to prompt the next line no matter how many times I click. In the end I got frustrated with it taking so long that I just hit the skip button to get out of the scene.
Also stop using my PC/account name in your game, it's weird and out of place especially since mine is not named in a way that it can used like that naturally.
