Overview:
You are a university student completing the last year of your PHD study focusing on a field of research called Electroencephalography (EEG).

You have spent the last seven years developing a device that will read and transmit the electrical pulses of the brain from one person and transmit those thoughts into another. Unfortunately the university board seeing benefits elsewhere have canned your project giving you one last week to make use of the university's super computer.

This visual novel focuses on the events of that last week.​

Here they showed a test group images of peoples faces, and used EEG equipment to read the brain activity and recreated an image from it.

The researchers were able to use the EEG technique to estimate that it takes the brain 170 milliseconds (0.17 seconds) to make a representation of a face we see. The team hopes their method could be used alongside fMRI techniques to make even more accurate reconstructions.

Thought reform or thought persuasion could be said to be a form of gentle mind control.
However F95 has a very clear definition of how they would like the term used:

Mind control [Forcing someone to do something on their own against their will, either with powers or via drugs.]

It is still a bit unclear to the protagonist what is going on and I didn't feel that TAG fitted with the current release.

However, there is typo near the beginning I wanted to point out. Right before going out the door, the MC thinks about how he hired an assistant named Christine. Obviously, this should be Catherine instead.

No because there is no control.

Transferring brain pulse or "thoughts" from one person to another isn't controlling, at the very most it's gentle persuasion. They still have full control over their actions.
