So the latest playable version was in 2023 07 16 ? That's the last one i played have there been any others since then ?

I just realized that dev might made a grave mistake by deleting his posts about progress on various mechanics and stuff.
I showed a few of my friends the Steam page and the answers can be summed up into: another "Nintendo, hire this man" nothing burger. Just lol. He needs to do something about game's presentation asap.

The game is a a third person action-adventure with survival and horror elements and will feature a large open world map subdivided in different areas with different biomes and gameplay loops; the game will not feature adult elements out of the box, but it is built with modularity and modding in mind, a fully optional adult module will be built by a trusted third party as an unofficial integration, official modding tool will eventually be release for further customization and are planned to be made publicly available after launch.
This was done to provide a game that could appeal to a wider audience, while retaining its original promises and avoiding getting country wide bans on those location where pornography is highly restricted.

Regarding the older iteration of this game known as Project Unknown: Section 7: that PoC has evolved and has become this game, its core mechanics will be integrated between the base game and the adult module of Rogue Protocol.

Regarding the spin off known as Project Elimination: The Forbidden Planet: that game is being rebuilt by the adult artist in charge of delivering the adult module for Rogue Protocol, recycling assets provided by Matto for Rogue Protocol. It was first intended to be just a test bench for integration mechanics, but it has since become its own thing. It is currently in scope to be marketed on Steam with the same format of Rogue Protocol (SFW main game + adult module) with the tentative title of EXEUnit or Rogue Patrol. i really want to reserve judgement, and i apparently have a free key for when the game comes out so i won't cry "scam" or anything but... this is definitely looking like a pretty standard ridiculous unasked-for feature bloat -> dead game situation. i'm fine with eating crow if dev manages to deliver a solid gritty scifi extraction shooter and the porn part of the game is well-implemented and fun to play with.

...on the other hand, i think it's just gonna end up being a mid unreal slop shooter with the porn part being exactly what it already is now, plus some jank on top that makes it not even worth the time. call me jaded but all i see is a dev with delusions of grandeur biting off more than they can chew, and essentially throwing the bird to all the gooners that bankrolled it. not to get on a high horse about porn video games but it's rich to build your nest-egg on the collective semen of a bunch of miserable basement jorkers and then turn around like "no actually i'm cutting out the porn for the investors "regional laws", but it'll be an optional dlc i prooooomise, it won't be poorly-implemented or half-assed at all i proooooomise"

i'm just fuckin tired of the unending deluge of "unity/unreal scifi extraction shooter that will never be complete, and the monsters fuck you if you die" (tml, parasites, delta zone, et al) - it's like these guys played fallout 3 with sex mods 10 years ago and thought it was peak video gaming
