Have you ever actually played a fem-protag game? Because this, like most of them, is a "you make decisions for the protagonist" game, not a "you are the protagonist" game - you can't change Myriam's name, and neither the scenes nor the writing are from her first-person perspective. The guys fucking her are who you project yourself onto, just like when you watch regular old non-interactive porn.

I'm always baffled by comments like this - to step outside the realm of porn games for a second, it's like these people have only ever played FPSs and western-style RPGs, and nothing like Super Mario or Devil May Cry where you're controlling the actions of a character that clearly has their own identity and personality independent of yours, and so a player-character being anything but a blank-slate avatar for the player to project themselves onto is a foreign concept to them.

I agree with the first part: The game does not really ask us to BE Myriam (and I'd find it very difficult to imagine myself in the shoes of someone who'd ever be with Anthony *shudder*). We rather take the role of the metaphorical angel/devil/pervert over her shoulder guiding her and helping her become a better* person. But I don't really see the "projecting onto the other characters" aspect either.

I think the point of order is the poster didn't want the Egyptian goddess to be trans. I don't feel it was a political statement but a preference and we are all entitled to personal preferences.

I can't abide first-person NTR games where the player character is just a faceless avatar and the writing presents it as "this is happening to you", but I quite often love NTR manga, where I can be one step removed, sort of the invisible pervert watching from the sidelines going "man, sucks to be that guy... but damn is what's happening to his wife hot". Sort of like that Mel Brooks quote - “Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die.”

I speak mostly of those people. I've seen people getting MAD and dropping games because the MC had the mere option to "share" his girls. Like... The very thought of a swinging/sharing route existing was enough for them to bash and drop. And what they lack is precisely that, empathy. Same with NTR, they hate so much on it and scream "it's for cucks" but never for a second stopped to think how it might be fun for a woman.
