While it is certainly possible to recover data from a crashed HD, it is by no means guaranteed.
Much better practice IMO, is having up-to-date backups, backups and more backups, both of the incremental kind and clones.
HD's and docks are cheap. Back-up software can be scheduled.

With this, even if my Mac went up in smoke before my eyes, I would at most lose a couple hours of recent work, nothing more.
Don't forget off site backup in case you have a break in or other disaster at your house.

Anything important should be on backed up on an external HD. They have ones that hold well over 1TB (and if needed just for important stuff doesn't need to be nearly that large.)
I am disabled and download a ton of movies and TV shows to pass the time. I have several 8 bay enclosures with hdd up to 18 tb. I try to alway save two copies if every download on separate hdd because sometimes you can never find the movies or TV shows again. Especially for older stuff. So I definitely am glad the game continues. I have enjoyed it very much.

I went into a Best Buy a few months back looking to buy another 1Tb external HD for my laptop because I've almost filled my first one with tons of games, mods and comics, only to have a sales rep tell me that they Now have a 2Tb HD out there! :ROFLMAO: So NOW, I'm looking into purchasing one, Especially since the difference in price comes to about 5 USD.

Anyone know who the mod author for the beast patch is? 5.11 came out fairly recently, so I assume the lack of any mention of it on the main page is due to it not being updated for the current patch. Sifting thru 954 pages to find the mod author is tedious as fuck, so a nod in the right direction to keep tabs on when/if it gets updated for the current patch would be nice. Ngl, playing the game with only 95% of the content feels pointless.

You shouldn't write that here or anywhere. Patreon guidelines are against those extra patches with content they don't like. It doesn't matter to them if you share the patch here or patreon.
Best to delete it. The patch is made by some anon with no relation to Project Myriam - Life and Explorations™
Well, it is made by a third party, Prometheus, but yes, as you say, Patreon can get anal about the subject, better be safe.
