doesn't look like it's close to ending, but there are bad endings in the game

- 'Bad' ending one, Anthony's one, follow up on the last choice of chapter 2 if you don't support Kimberley (you need to not have kicked Anthony of the house and participated in his little gangbang with the office staff).

I checked my variables and I didn't kick Anthony out of the house, I participated in the gangbang and still can't get the option for the ending, it's blocked

Edit: I tried a previous save all the way to that point but now getting an error, here is the traceback

If this is the bad ending update, then there must be good endings too... My question is: if I get the bad ending now, how does the next update overwrite the bad ending? Or should I not play this update now, but the next one?

I guess there is the need earlier in the novel to define the character of Myriam in such a way, that she has enough will power and fighting strength in the barn scene to keep quiet, get out of her handcuffs and leave the barn - even seeing all the dead bodies. In my version, Myriam is saved by the truck driver and is lying in a hospital - then end of the current chapter

Read the changelog, the things added this update are only bad endings from earlier in the game

If you get the Broken 'bad' ending it is as I said either because you have a bad ratio 'sadness'/'happiness' or due to not solving Jarvis problem, there is no other reason possible.

You will have to go back to an older save, but there is a lot of way to solve this, you can simply not let him walk over you on the first occasion and get back the photos from him, ask for help from one of the officers or the detective if you're in a romance with them, you can also use his son Bill, or ignore him (though it might have consequences).

I wrote my first comment when I played two routes and I definitely remembered that I had all the requirements... Yet I got a bad ending... Later I played all the other routes (there are a lot of them) and in these I got to the point at the end of the update where I had to make a choice related to Myriam's future... (activity, partners, family members, etc.) I even managed to finish the slave route... I still don't understand what was wrong with the other two routes, but I'm glad I managed to play the rest...

yeah i did those, believed his bs excuse, had the gangbang and saved a few slides before that waiting for the update.

Nope, I extracted a clean copy and it still crashed at the same place, no mod used.

I think there is a problem of either mod or saves corrupted by mod, because all the game is asking at this choice now is this:

All that's needed to take the second option (the own I show in the quote is the to have participated in the gangbang by the office team (which of course necessitate Myriam to not kick Anthony out of the house previously), but from a few screenshot I show showing the choice moment, I can see they all have the old version before this update, which means that there is a mod in action that do not have taken in the new changes.

Reload the game clean, and retry a save (rollback a few lines maybe as well), if you want to push it you can even restart the game to this point, the choice is at the end of chapter 2.

That's normal, this update, beside the 3 bad endings, has brought the game to the end line, meaning this particular choice, where the player can see the endings that will come in the future updates (right now I'm on the paramour Danny one)

Am I doing something wrong? All my choices lead to Myrian getting kidnapped and even when she gets away it is a bad end.

Myriam getting kidnapped is normal, it happens at the end of chapter 5, then the previous update was all about her escaping or being rescued, after that I need more detail on the bad ending you're talking about, if it's number 2, finishing up as a sex slave for the Sawyer family, just rollback to when she's waking up in the barn the first time, there is multiple ways to escape if she can't be rescued due to some choices made previously.

Ugh, so how I handled something I don't know how many updates ago now comes back to cause an inescapable bad end? What is this, an 80's-90's Sierra adventure?

Is it that surprising that a game I said is heavily based on choices and their consequences will put importance on some choices and their consequences... There is a lot do in the game and a lot of choices, and now comes a lot of endings, not all of them can be seen depending on the choices made during the game, but players will still be able to see quite a few of them in a single run, that's the point of the final choice at the end of this update, to give the player the possibility to see multiple endings without having to redo the game each time for each ending.

And I must say, being compared to Fallout 1 and 2 is definitely a nice point for me, love those games. ^^

This update as said multiple times, brought the game to the final line before all the future endings coming in future updates, as well as 3 bad endings that could be found earlier in game.

Though yes, if you don't explore, the update will only have one scene for you.

I have no idea really of how many updates it will take me still exactly, though if I keep in mind my work flow into account, I generally have around 3-4 scenes by normal update, depending on size.

One caveat to this being that I will now start working a little on the side on my next game as well, so that I do not end up with a big void of months between the full end of Project Myriam and the intro demo of the next project.

I had envisioned a full end to the game during 2026, I think it's still in the books, but will see how thing goes as I start releasing a few of the future updates.

EDIT: Speaking of next project, I started releasing a few visual drafts on my Discord server during my could down period after each update release.
