Copy/paste of the answer to the problem you're probably having, 'bad' ending 3, with first the probable reasons, either:
- Bad ratio of 'Sadness'/'Happiness'.
- Not having solved the Jarvis problem and ending up morally broken by him as Myriam chose to service him to avoid more trouble.
The first case is hard to get honestly, so I would look into the second one, which in this case you just have to load an older save and solve the Jarvis problem on the first or second occasion, either by not giving in into his bullying; asking for help with one of the cops (if you're romancing him); using his son Bill to get help; or even fully ignore the problem.
Being kidnapped is unavoidable, it happens at the end of chapter 5, but there is ways to escape after this or being rescued (if you talked to the Detective), the easiest way to go, none dependent on stat, Myriam can play possum and try to break her wrist to escape the chains; you can also get help from Dumdum if you're not too forceful; or you can use your teeth at the good time with Buck in last resort; or in last last resort be rescued in the end (if detective Dave has been made aware of the motel family by Myriam).
If you're trouble is after being rescued/escaping you're ending up broken, refer to my previous answer, it's probably due to that pesky Jarvis.
I always have been clear on this, I focus on choices and some has consequences... And notably with Jarvis, I insisted that his choices would have ramification, but I can't deny that the game do not make it clear enough, I'll probably have to go have a little rewrite on this so that at least players can pinpoint the problem.
