News and follow up on coming update...
Hello there, it's me again, just a short post to keep you all posted on the coming update, it's advancing well, a good chunk of it is done, with already a few more naughty scenes, a few game overs and a few start of escapes depending on the player choices, but still not done with the scene, still a few more branching to go over, which means I won't be sharing the update this month, it will have to wait for next month.
I should have plenty of time to finish up the scene and add a little more before the end of July, probably pushing the ending chapter to one of the decisive points which would lead to some of the endings. More on this when I have a clearer view of the advancement of the update during next month, I still have some more work to do over this scene before I can have a clear view.
Sorry for the little detail on this coming update, I'm trying not to give too much spoiler on this one, I'll be less cryptic on the next ones. ^^

But let's get passed this before it ends into debates having nothing to do about Project Myriam.

The point is that like it was said in the first message talking about Druuna, yes, they do have a few similarities and she was definitely in my head when I started the game, I thought for a time into going for more of a fantastic setting, the 'weird events' are kind of an ersatz of it.
Having an heroine going through some erotica/fantastic adventures like this is definitely in the cards for the next game.

Well, that kind of already happened, but honestly, the curvy aspect yes (but that applies to a lot of characters), for the rest, I personally see no connection between Myriam and Druuna.

Even as phenotype and character, from Serpieri himself Druuna is Italian voluptouness joined with French sensuality mixed with Brazilian "warmness" and a salt of "native Indian" in some story because in that moment he had that inspiration (to be clear, I don't mean Indian from India, though I know for you is clear).

Sexual adventures, yes, but those are in a lot of games, and you already have people complaining about Anthony and Marc, imagine if Myriam operated in the post-apocalyptic setting of Druuna...

Though as we discovered thanks to this lateral conversation, there are also people who liked Druuna playing Myriam, so I think you would have a public if you decide to do a game with elements in that direction... ;-)

Thanks for reminding me, yep, got it years ago, need to see if still works (I vaguely remember one of the files had a problem :-(, and unfortunately, I don't think the web site where I bought it still exist) and where to install it.
And probably should get my hands on some old publications with Druuna stories, to refresh myself.

BTW, if anybody is interested, as far as I remember (but I can check again) the V4.2 "Bruuna" was on ShareCG, which means is practically gone, so, technically if I go 100% legal I cannot redistribute it, but till when I don't sell it and I don't claim to be author, if anybody wants her (I don't want to know what you are going to do with her, you perverts :-D), send me a PM or open an asset request in the specific thread and I will upload her.

Привет, это снова я, просто короткий пост, чтобы держать вас всех в курсе предстоящего обновления. Оно продвигается успешно, значительная его часть уже сделана, уже есть несколько пикантных сцен, несколько оверверов и несколько начальных побегов в зависимости от выбора игрока, но сцена еще не закончена, осталось пройти еще несколько ответвлений, а это значит, что я не поделюсь обновлением в этом месяце, оно подождет до следующего месяца.
У меня будет достаточно времени, чтобы закончить сцену и добавить немного больше до конца июля, возможно, подвинув заключительную главу к одной из решающих точек, которая приведет к некоторым концовкам. Подробнее об этом, когда у меня будет более четкое представление о ходе обновления в течение следующего месяца, мне еще нужно немного поработать над этой сценой, прежде чем я смогу получить четкое представление.
Извините за небольшую информацию об этом грядущем обновлении, я стараюсь не раскрывать слишком много подробностей, в следующих обновлениях я буду менее скрытен. ^^

Yo just putting this out there i did search but couldn't find anything about compatible saves.

Basically i haven't played this since ch5.05 and just downloaded the latest version, transferred my saves over and they show in the slots and everything but when trying to load it comes up with the error where you can rollback or ignore, etc. Whatever i do it starts a brand new game which usually means at one point the old saves don't work with a new version of the game. Did this happen at 1 point? If so that's fine i just missed that part. Not sure if i can start from the beginning again though lol.

If not then i dunno what's happened, lol.

In cases like this, I usually find it's something to do with mods used. If you do use mods, do you have the same ones loaded as usual?
If not, I dunno.
(Am currently replaying 2 games from the beginning because of abandoned mods)

1) Mods, as already indicated by others, depending on the mods you had (or did not have), that can be enough to create the situation;
2) There was some change of variable at some point, though if I remember correctly it was after 5.05, so it should not have an impact on loading your saves from 5.05 and before.

Thanks for the help but i don't use use mods, just the base game so is a mystery. Oh well lol. Perhaps i'll wait till the next update and see if that fixes it before giving up completely. Though i did last play back in September so maybe it's not a bad idea to start fresh lol

Changelog from 5.05a+p:

Ch. 5.05a+p
- 2470+ lines of new code and 172 new renders.
- 3 scenes.
- 9 new choices to make Myriam more your own and write her story.
- Some more naughty content (2 subscenes).
- 2 fixes in code from ch5.05 (advise strongly to reload from an earlier update and redo your saves to avoid future conflicts).

If your old saves are indeed from 5.05 as you stated that might be the issue. Unless you just shortened the version descriptor in your post and actually meant 5.05a. Still, if this is the issue, checking out some of your earlier saves from previous versions still might be worth a try?

That's your opinion my friend. Please don't fall into the trap of thinking your personal tastes or views on a topic are the prevailing one. You might be surprised how large the audience for themes/kinks you think are borderline actually is.
One's personal taste rarely reflects the tastes of society and there are some kinks that have a MUCH larger audience than most people think.

From the top of my head the only successful "fantasy" game I can think of is Wild Life.

If your old saves are indeed from 5.05 as you stated that might be the issue. Unless you just shortened the version descriptor in your post and actually meant 5.05a. Still, if this is the issue, checking out some of your earlier saves from previous versions still might be worth a try?

I'm not sure about the a. All i know is that i copy paste exactly what it says every download so my current game is called: Project Myriam Life and Explorations (ch5.05-pcp) - From 19/08/2024

But a massive thanks for that Changelog heads up! I'll try an earlier save like you say and see if it works. If it does i will try to re-trace my steps. I'm on my 75th save so we'll see.

That's probably because most fantasy setting VN's either get abandoned or they just aren't as interesting.

Are you telling me a fantasy setting VN with as many choices as this game wouldn't be popular? That having complete control on whether or not the FMC falls in love with Orc/Demon/Minotaur cock and willingly chooses to rearrange her guts every time she jumps up and down one isn't appealing? Please...

Right there you have one reason. While a lot of people might be into monster stuff, for porn the vast majority of people surely are just into sex with humans. No matter how good the story or how many choices it gives.
