I mean...you claimed yourself that depending on player choices, this actually can be the end of the game.

There are literally other choices in the game before this last update that lead to Myriam's death. It's not like that is a new thing.

Development has continued after past updates that have Myriam dying, no different here.

Does END mean the game is finished?

Essentially, this update is the prelude to the end, the setup for it, but not the end of development.

Okay, everyone, so this Q&A session can finally end:

CH 5 EP 12, with the final scene where Katharine calls for her missing mother, marks the END OF CHAPTER 5!

Now we're in the imaginary CH 6 EP 0, also THE LAST CHAPTER! There will now be X episodes to follow, until the very last episode, which will then FINALLY conclude this VN.

With this episode, Zorlun has implemented something that some of you may not like: bad exits (commonly called "game over")! Anyone who made wrong decisions in this episode, or indeed in the entire VN, will have a harder time getting their Miriam to the final episode. Anyone who thinks this is a one-time thing, just for this episode—Zorlun prove me wrong—is seriously mistaken. There are more to come!

Don't say a few, because to find my answer I HAVE TO read every comment to see if its mentioned. You are making it seem like everyone is giving a sentence reply when I am seeing walls of text. You're deliberately stating "Go back and read" the comments and figure it out.

Obviously instead of being courteous you guys are simply being assholes for someone who made their first comment in this forum to figure out 1 simple question that wasn't in the changelog.

I downloaded over 120 games here and I keep up with most of them through the threads. This despite the fact that I care for an elderly mother and am working on manuscripts for 2 novels! If I can go back & read, surely you can.
The problem with some of you people is that you suffer from CDS- Cognitive Disassociation Syndrome. You don't have the drive to do things for yourselves. You'd rather ask someone every time because You can't be bothered enough, for your Own sake no less, to learn anything, for yourself. Then, like most CDS people, get angry and insult people when they tell you to do something for yourself, for a change. You can Miss me with that. I see right through you.
Furthermore, if you're on here for the first time, you could have simply Said so. There've been numerous people who have come into the threads for the first time by stating so & have gotten quick and courteous responses. It's Your fault if you assume that everyone Else aassumes that you're a first-timer. Accountability is a Mother.

Actually, there was already at last one bad ending (literally a dead ending ) implemented in the game before this update, and one that could be considered a bad ending (though as far as it was hinted, not "deadly", just continuing with Anthony ), though it's true that Zorlun did not implement it at the time (by popular vote).
True, that bad ending would allow you to go kind of "rollback" (or better, tell you it was game over, but then allow you to go back and change your choices to continue the game), but it was nonetheless a "game over".

Its akin to asking "How do I do XXXX thing" in a forum, when you can go to google and type "How do I do XXXX thing" to get the answer, giving rise to the "Let me google that for you" site that appeared lol

Please notice, the walkthrough mod and this patch are not compatible, because both modify the code. Also, the combined mod contains the full walkthrough, but not the full of the incest patch.

For the ones tempted to eventually complain about the insertion of incest by me in the game, please read the text below before making a fool of yourselves getting in all kind of rampages (and yes, it already happened in the past).

If you look at the posts going way back, you will see incest was in the game from the start, both Katherine and Marc were supposed to be children of Anthony and Myriam, who were married, and there was no Thomas.
Patreon intervened threatening to kill Zorlun's funding through them if he did not remove incest, and if he had anything to do with incest distribution anywhere - thus, he created a Thomas as father of Katherine that had never existed before, and made Myriam and Anthony not married, because Patreon had said that even "step-something" was not OK.

Zorlun himself had never foreseen for Katherine to get involved in all kind of sexual shenanigans like potentially her mother, but Patreon told him explicitly that even having Myriam and Katherine involved at the same time in some sexual act in the same room, even if not with each other, was not OK, so, useless to ask for Myriam to do "stuff" with Katherine, or for Katherine to do something with Marc, that is not going to happen (not only for Patreon, but as said by Zorlun, also for his choice).

So, I did put incest back on the table, but I did not create a new story, the main story line is the one of Zorlun.

I just put incest back in, while trying to keep a minimum of coherence (so, with incest, Thomas becomes the lost first love, Myriam can mention incest as a tabu kink with Dr Silver and look for "incest-themed" porn on the Internet).

That does not mean that there are not differences, but the main story is the same and the main choices and paths for Myriam are the ones by Zorlun.

Nah, at least for me it's not that. Although I'll be sad for this story to end, I'm happy for Zorlun for seeing his baby grow up and beome one of the best AVNs out there. For a first timer, he's been engaging, cooperative, timely (despite a couple of hitches), and a generally good guy.
My issue is with people coming into the threads and either not reading comments before posting the same freakin' questions, not Bothering to read because they're lazy or entitled as hell, then copping attitudes and insulting the rest of the thread for Their failures. I mean, how many times do people come into threads, not just this one, asking for APKs when All they have to do First is do a friggin' search? How many have asked for compressed content when they can do the same? If you're new to a game, SAY so so that the more experienced and helpful people in the group can give you a hand And show appreciation when they Do so. It's not like people are monitoring who's new and who Ain't. And then say Thank You , which can go a long way for future questions.
Even when some get in the threads and try to subtly bully the devs into putting in content that they want, you have to find it exhausting. I know that I do. For the most part, I'm a fairly patient and understanding person considering a couple of decades ago, I would have told some of these nutcases to f-off. It never ceases to amaze me how little common sense is used before posting questions when the answers could be found with a little diligence. A person comes into a thread ask when an update is coming when Literally their answer can be found if they bothered to f-in READ a few comments prior to them typing the same dumb question. I used to believe that it was laziness but I finally figured it out several days ago---CDS, which is almost the exact opposite of ADD/ADHD. I used to work with people back in the day with Both disorers, which is why I said what I did in my last post. Regardless of whether I'm right about it or not, some of these folks can't be upset for people not wanting to help them when they, in some cases Admit that they don't want to Read to find their answers. Which is, Again, why I call them Similac & Pampers babies. The crap gets old.
