personally I believe that a story should focus on protagonist and the characters who are close to him/her.
then there should be a real antagonist...
those who add too many characters are not good at writing a story and so they only add to lengthen the content and lengthen the developing time without giving the story any dynamics and no progression..

I prefer developer writing story focused on the MC and the story must be strong!

interactive stories are no different from the stories we read in books or see in a movie or TV series
The only difference with the stories in the big movies should be related to choices that can change the single end... in multiple endings ...
for example the classic story of Juliet and Romeo. In the book it ends with their heartbreaking suicide....

By taking the story into a game with choices, you could get an ending where they board a ship and live happily forever on a desert island
or only one Romeo dies and Juliett marries the priest

or Romeo manages to kill all the bad guys by offering his beloved Juliet to fuck with them..but then he kills them all... then they get married and live happily. (Netorase ending)

as you see if the story is powerful and fascinating, in the end the choices you make matter only to get a different ending....
Adding too many characters is useless...
sure a few secondary characters can serve to create a side story...
but if the story becomes made up of only side stories the whole game becomes uninteresting like an episodic movie where the main character changes each episode becoming a collage made up of short unrelated stories

I prefer stories with well defined character roles
MC and his/her relative and friends + a credible well written antagonist..

the right choices make the MC win her/his plan, while the wrong choices make the antagonist win.

I would like to see more exhibitionist stuff at the pond when Myriam goes for a swim in the nude, not necessary with the same teens we saw before. I would like to see a follow-up scene with the two teens in the store that was perving over Myriam, same goes with the teens in the train who saw her boobs squished against the glass. Did seem like, if they ever saw Myriam again on the train, they would try something.

However, it doesn't make any sense for Myriam to go back to the pond after what happened, unless she wants to but she has plenty interest elsewhere to satisfy her needs. It doesn't add anything essential to the story to follow-up with the other teens I mentioned as well.

A lot of developers would continuously do scenes on the train, or at the pond, but Zorlun only did what he needed to do.

Zorlum creates events that can give the story a dynamic progression...if the characters change no development can take place but it just becomes a repetition of what happened before with other kids...

I very much agree with this. Choice novels are tough as you can add to many characters and then have to provide content for all the characters. Developers can easily overload a novel with characters, but the best thing to do is to limit the content to what it needs to be with each character, something this novel proves.

Well, I am not Zorlun, so in part I am extrapolating, but in part I am basing myself on what he said in the past, about two aspects...

1) He wants to avoid the risk of someone making noise problems, even just here on F95, and does not feel comfortable with something.
From one side, tthere is no doubt in my mind that all those teens satisfy rule number 5, said it more brutally, they are definitively past the start of puberty, fertile and perfectly capable at a physical level to have sex and procreate, and also when they masturbate and cum on Myriam , they know perfectly well what they are doing. But from the other, honestly, if Zorlun says those are all 18+ old I will not contradict him, but at least for the ones at the lake, let's say it depends how one counts years :-D.
So, he had clearly said that those at the lake would not come back, even because there is honestly little to do, with the progression they have done, the next step would be either Myriam willingly does the "school boat" for them, or they try to do more than what they did while she is asleep or "asleep" (and we know what that "more" means ;-)).

2) He wants to finish "Myriam", but he has already put so much stuff, so many possible kinks and paths, which already like this in practice I think he will not fully exploit all the possibilities, and time is limited because he is already getting preparing the endings for the game. So, he needs to prioritise the main character and main potential partners, and cut on the rest.

Well, you can always hope that in future either him or someone else makes another game/vn where there is a similar scenario that goes the way you like - it would not be Myriam, but you can always toss ideae around, and see if they are picked up.

Zorlun, does your game have no sound or music because of copyright or because it was too much trouble to program?

There is a few noises for immersion, but in short, yes and no, the game started as a small experiment, so yes I didn't go paying copyrights to add music in it, after that the game being first, like animation, music was something Ipht aside as there was more important to learn and do first... And after it would be ome a bit weird to add some when there is none in early game.

Though I would like to work more on music for the next game, I'll have to see.

An update about what's going on from Z's Discord. Hope he won't mind too much about sharing.

Seems that my computer died on me tonight, I don't know the extent of the damages just yet, I'm not a hardware savvy guy, but I don't think I have a loss of data at least, I had a problem with DAZ and some responsiveness with the computer so I decided to restart it and it just didn't, looping me endlessly on the launching screen...

I'm too tired and mad to get on it tonight, so I'll look into it more tomorrow and keep everyone appraised. If it can be fixed quickly it should not impair this month's update too much, but if it's more serious... Well, I prefer not thinking about it too much.

file name in windows version say's 5.11 but it's 5.09. my save gave error and i thought it was from inc patch or all in one patch but when i opened earlier save from 5.08 version and i was going to skip until 5.10 , it said 5.09 version ended here thank for playing and gone to menu. what's happening?

I had a few fixes at a previous scenes yes the only to fix your saves is to remake them loading an older save from a previous update so that the fixes load correctly.
