Preview Scene - Bad End - Enslaved
Here's the forth preview for the coming update, following Myriam after the events of the last update if the player lead her to its possible bad ending (not counting the 'game overs'). This will be the second 'bad' ending for Project Myriam, as the choice lead Myriam to finish enslaved by the Sawyer family, after failing to escape or be rescued.
This is definitely a 'bad' ending, following the poor Myriam as she is used like a toy at the motel seen during the introduction of the game, used by the perverted clients of the degenerate family. The scene see Myriam used by a few clients first before seeing a flow of them as she end up broken in spirit, ending the game on quite the depressive note (not joking here, our poor Myriam do not finish this one on a happy note :( ).
There's a little bit of a surprise on this one for the curious (no spoiler)... Though for the curious again, please, do keep in mind that this ending do not finish on a fun note for Myriam, like I said.

I don't know about the quotation, but the post he shared is my last post on Patreon/SubscribeStar about the second bad ending I just finished.

No, that definitely won't happen, this is really not something I want to dive in.
I've accepted the fact that the game is experimental and warts and all, it represents well the work I put in and its evolution... And I really want to get to a new project after Project Myriam. ^^

Yeah, I'm sure the image was from the last update you released last month. Which is why I'm unsure why they quoted; they seem to be applying, I missed that ending in the list they quoted, but it already happened.

No, it's new, it's a render from the coming update (though yes, it's from the same place as the previous update as it follow up on the 'bad' ending that could be reached during the previous update, that was put on hold like the chapter 2 one, albeit, for a way shorter time ^^ ).

And for adding things of what Zorlun said, if you see the image carefully you can see that she's not chained to the bed anymore (letting aside that in this update you never see her lying pointing against the wall, mainly because the chain she had in her left hand).

oh I see, I thought the story was done at that location.

And for adding things of what Zorlun said, if you see the image carefully you can see that she's not chained to the bed anymore (letting aside that in this update you never see her lying pointing against the wall, mainly because the chain she had in her left hand).
I'm pretty certain one of the starting images is her lying in the same spot, but with a chain on her. As stated above, I didn't realise this was a new image, presumed it was from the last update, as it certainly looks similar to the first image from last update.

Non, pas depuis un bon moment, donc à part si tu as une sauvegarde qui date de vraiment du début du jeu, tu n'as pas besoin de recommencer le jeu depuis zéro pour que la mise à jour se fasse. ^^

Translation for other people: No, not since a long time, so apart if you have a very old save from the start of the game, you don't have to start the game from scratch for the update to take effect. ^^

I've really enjoyed the length of the run of Project Myriam, but I will say after a point most of the points for kinks kind of stopped mattering. I hope in your next project that, if you decide to create a similar system, they can continue to matter.

And this is more a matter of personal preference, but I would also enjoy a more cohesive narrative. I understand that the two major throughlines of Myriam was family bonds and Myriam discovering her sexuality, but it was a little too broad in scope. Sometimes it just felt like events were added because it was a cool thought or to make sure that one of the fetishes (bestiality, BBC, lesbian, etc.) got marked off rather any sort of actual narrative weight.

Obviously you've created a successful and widely enjoyed game, so stick to whatever you want to do. That was just my two cents. Cheers!

I wrote something similar year ago.
Zorlun pushed on the pedal since second episode, now after some years is ok he ended ideas.
Poor Myriam did pratically EVERYTHING.

The two points you mentioned are some of the relevant ones I have noted and am keeping in mind for next game, the thing is that they both came with the experimental side of the game, I started with the goal of using heavily the points system, but ended up by experimenting with the programing, as I learn to code, using way more the 'flags' as direct consequences of the choices made and using less and less the points as a barrier of entry (though they will have kind of a come back for the endings); same thing with the story and multiple plotlines, I always kept the main plot very simple as I wanted to focus mostly on learning the ropes of the tool and what I could do with them, which led me as I already said a few times to shoot shotgun style with the plotlines and kinks, to see what could be done and test the limits.

So, like I said, what you pointed out are definitely fair points that I have in mind while I start thinking on next project.

You are a talented developer, my fear is that staying too many years on PMLAE will block your talent in a loop.
You need fresh air, new stories, new characters, new scenarios, perhaps new graphics and a very good plot to develop.
Leave Myriam to fly away and create a new story, for you and for us.

For me personally the points represent My's character. How I shaped her so to speak. In this regard they always stayed relevant to me. I also left out some of the kinks like beast or interracial while I always try to push the sub Level to the max.

Maybe it is only me but this 'statistics' aspect of the decisions and resulting points have always been an important part why I enjoyed this so much.

Well, this is one of the reasons I want to finish Project Myriam, to start another one, with another kind of story and other characters.
Once the coming update is shipped, and all I have to do is add all the endings, I will start giving some time to starting the next project, so that once Project Myriam is finished, I avoid having too much of a void between Project Myriam and sharing a first demo of the next.

Yes, I can see that, and it kind of join the way I want to rework the points for next game, with more of a scaling system, nothing definitive for now, but the idea should look something like that (for now):
- Trait/Kink rank from 1 to 10, with each rank having a gauge of 10 points.
- Actions/Events/Choices will come with a minor, moderate or major effect which will give points scaling on the rank of Trait/Kink.
- Meaning a Rank 3 and Rank 5 Exhibition kink would not gain the same amount of points with the 'minor' action of deciding to go topless on the beach for example.
- At some points, some high ranks level might not gain anymore points from minor actions.
- On the opposite, low ranks level will not be able to do some major actions depending on the kink in question.

That's the idea I have in mind and will start to think on for next project. The base idea was kind of the system of Honor of the TTRPG from Legend of the Five Ring for those that have played it, some of the actions the player would do with their samurai would have consequences on their Honor depending on their rank in it, a very honorable player would easily lose honor with a dishonorable action and would gain less with an honorable one, and the inverse with dishonorable characters, they would lose less with dishonorable actions, but gain more with honorable ones. (Sorry for the parallel ^^ )
