Myriam won't get those results overnight, but training and improved confidence could make her a real threat against a single attacker unless she's taken by surprise. Multiple attackers are a tougher proposition, but teens form gangs to compensate for individual cowardice and putting one down hard will often see the rest break and flee.

It's interesting that Zorlun hasn't included rape as a tag for events we've already seen in the game, even though some would argue otherwise. Including it as a future tag could mean many things, as it may apply to other characters besides Myriam.

Actually, the idea that penetration is required is already a legal idea from specific countries.
In porn, "rape" is in general used for any kind of (fake) forced sexual activity without consent, a bit like in other countries.
Many fake videos of that type involve vaginal and/or anal penetration, but I remember some where there was only oral, and they were nonetheless classified as (fake) rape.

I don't know your experience about some things, but the physical aspect is the one often people focus on, but in reality it is the easiest one to take care of (i.e. developing muscles and learning to fight in a gym).
The psychological, especially for someone who has (depending also on the player choices) been in an abusive submissive relation and position, is the one that can take even years to get over (and some people may never really get over it completely), aside the fact of different situation between learning in the gym and "for real".

Also, your theory about the young ones is only partially correct.
It can work +/- the way you are describing only if correctly targeted and executed (I prefer not to detail better what I mean), otherwise, it does not work that way, the number (especially if we assume they are not going to be three, but more, which can be the case in case of juvenile gangs involved in rape cases) give them an advantage, again, especially for someone who may stil have a number of thing to work on at the psychological level.

She is indeed from Texas but she lives in what is heavily implied to be somewhere in California now, where gun laws are much stricter. (It's somewhere on the west coast but it's not nearly wet enough to be the pacific northwest. They also drove across the desert to get to their new home.) They aren't banned entirely though and she could get a license to carry a piece if she wanted to.

Hmm, true that in USA people are much more gun oriented, and the game is supposed to be somewhere in USA, and it's true she got a couple of lessons from Lucy, but it is a long distance from that, to get a gun.
Someone saying they are getting a gun only to scare or to show, is self-delusional.
Taking a gun, especially if you carry it around, means you are willing to kill someone or get someone dead, and for real, not just as a figure of speech (even if the gun is unloaded and the one getting killed is you because the other side did not know it was unloaded) - it does not seem to fit with Myriam.
Unless of course she goes all the way in the "Anthony 2" path (well, if Anthony had had free roam it is not said he would not have ended up killing someone, many physicallly abusive partners do end up doing that, even if not fully on purpose), and some more, then, for all we know, she could even become "trigger happy Calamity Myriam shoots anybody she does not like" .

Don't worry people, as always, the events/scenes will be avoidable, though keep in mind that some choices made earlier in game could bring you to some unredeemable fate or bad ending for Myriam!! (There will be a small collection of bad endings like the one in the motel with the dealer.)
Keep in mind also, without going too much into the spoiler zone, that I announced pretty early in game, that there will be an horror theme chapter (no supranatural element) coming later on in game, things will be avoidable mostly depending on choices, but some darker times are coming, Myriam will need to be armed for it! (She's counting on you! ^^ )

Well, cannot say I am talking for everybody, but I would say "don't worry" - this whole conversation about rape tag or not, is much more relaxed than others that happened in the past (remember the "bad Zorlun took away incest" theme ? ;-)), and anybody who played the game knows you leave ample possibilities for people to choose how Myriam changes (or not), and if something happens or not (well, depending on the choices made).

No, the park scene requires you to not go out with the cops at all. It might be possible to double up if you edit the game variables but I wouldn't recommend it, the game won't be designed for that and you'll likely get weird bugs.

I don't think that Myriam is ever going to be raped, and even if it happens it will be avoidable, but knowing Myriam she will find the sex so good that she will enjoy it thus not making it a rape

What I'm cutting it short!? Never! Well, pretty close, but I'll be in time unless some unforeseen catastrophe occurs, and those never arrive! (Feel my power of auto-persuasion!) Joke aside, I'm seeing the light, of the scene and update, I just have two small subscenes to wrap up, which should be done tomorrow (the 28th or morning of the 29th at worse), then it's polishing and testing, which takes half day or so, then finally uploading, that I'll probably start on the 29th to be in time for the 30th. See! Told you I was good for it! ^^

So, that preview, well simply Mike's road of the 'date night' scene, with Myriam going out with him for dinner and more if the player choose so. There will be multiple way to go through it, with a possibility to cut short and leave him again blue balled. Mike's scene will also the introduction of another character, again, no spoiler, I let you have the fun of discovery.
On the naughty side, multiple way to go again, ranging from the torrid but vanilla to some threesome and even some potential cheating and drunken sex. As always, choice will matter as well as her alcohol consumption this time around, leaving a few to go about it.

It was a pretty funny scene to work on and the new hardware is just flying through the renders, the next game is really more enjoyable to work on (despite the stress of the long delay), I just hope you'll enjoy the scenes as well. ^^

And this, of course, is completely unrealistic. But, since this is a game, and is entirely fictional, that doesn't matter. Far be it from me to grumble about unrealistic elements in fiction. As long as the story is told well, unrealistic elements are welcome. In fact, I would be inclined to say that the need to embrace the unrealistic is one of the reasons why we enjoy fiction.

All of that being said, I won't try to address the rest of your points, such as Myriam's training, whether or not she would pose a serious threat to a larger man, or whether or not you could put a whole gang to flight by taking out one member. I don't find any of those arguments to be compelling in a real world setting, but I've already stipulated that I'm ready to accept unrealistic elements in fiction, so I can give all of that a pass.

The thing that matters here is that it will be the player's choice. It won't come down to a question of what's realistic or unrealistic in the real world, or whether or not you think it's good character development for Myriam's story arc. If the player doesn't want Myriam to get raped, then, provided that you have been making the right choices all along, she won't be raped. Either she won't get into the dangerous situations in the first place, or she'll escape or be rescued, or she'll kick ass, or some combination of those things. But, if you've made different choices, then she's going to take a length against her will.

But he has included "rape" as a tag - in the game. There are multiple scenes in the game which have a "rape" tag in the game's code.

And, if you've played through all of the scenes in the game, then this won't surprise you, because, even without looking at the code, you will already have seen that there are definitely some scenes which a reasonable person would consider to be rape. But, if you haven't played through those scenes, then you may not be aware of that.

I'm glad to hear it.

I don't think that you should shy away from anything which you want to include in the game. Of course, I appreciate things being made optional, because there are some types of content which I would rather not play through. But I'm certainly not going to complain about those things being in the game, when I can just skip over them.

Reality in this game is set by Zorlun, even if it means that Lucy fights like Black Widow and Aidan is a mini martial artist. That's fine, for the reasons you listed.

I'm more concerned about perceived game reality re the consequences of rape. If a game branch appears where the player can decide that Myriam will be raped, what happens after that? Will she continue her normal behaviour - even if that behaviour was the cause of her rape? Will she be traumatised afterwards, drastically changing her behaviour and relationships as a result? Will she discover that rape is another of her fetishes, putting herself into increasingly more dangerous situations to satisfy it? Writing a rape is straightforward, but dealing with the consequences won't be, so I hope Zorlun can come up with a solution that satisfies most players.

The easiest solution would be to have the rape path lead to another bad end, where Myriam is murdered by the rapist afterwards. Simple, but the rape fans would probably be outraged.
