• Various bug fixes
• Overall attack speed adjusted to be 10% faster
• Introduction of currency system
• Introduction of mob rescue system
• Modified map level design and map resources
• Slightly increased monster attacks
• Proofread scenario dialogue and corrected typos
• Addition of scenarios
• Added CV's for Hughes, Sub-Commander, and Luna
• Added dialogue system with Hughes to further understand the world

Same with other times, you have to play with the locale in Japanese, if you you don't the game goes crazy and nothing works as expected.

you mean just the locale or the whole system? because locale alone isn't enough for this one for whatever reason, you have to change the regional formatting as well, I posted some screenshots of how to do it on Windows 10 here

How do you get the story to be english I selected english in the options and saved it but that just changed some things to english but when I go into the story its all in japanese.

It's just for the UI, It's not going to be available until the full version comes out, like Sena's Voice.

Thats just Unicode. In settings go to Language and Location. There under Location zou gotta change Country or Location to Japan.

Yep, you have to go to the first tab and change the regional formatting to Japan, not just the locale
(assuming the option is there for W11, but it should be since that tab looks the same)
