Was it ever specifically mentioned that tentacles will be making a return in this game? I loved them in MBM and can already imagine how they can be implemented here, to the defenses or as traps.

I haven't heard anything about them yet. But if Rune will be here, we can expect her tentacles to be here too. And Rune was specifically mentioned - R in "Project R" is for Rune.
Also, Rune herself appeared in 0.1 alongside the shota version of the player. The implication is that the player character in Project R is the child of Rune and the PC of Monster Black Market.

Could be, or they could be the PC of MBM abducted, aged down, and brainwashed to be made into a better servant.
Or just a random shota she abducted somewhere.

I think that 0.1 animation was just an old concept of "Rune the shota lover". Maybe she's his mother, who knows.
She was originally in the game early on, but then the game went through a major rework which resulted in the Shota version of the MC and Rune being removed from the game for the time being, though I'm pretty sure they're intended to be re-added sometime later down the line. This is also why most of the preview images in the first post show things that aren't in the game or don't accurately reflect what is in the game, as those images are from those early versions.

They should add this during the first day and an upgrade button to age him, since having the ability to "reproduce" female NPCs by mating with his mature self is just too OP.
Honestly, not as OP as you think. Or well, it is powerful since it lets you get tons of traits on humans making trait inheritance more likely, but that's only relevant later on. Early on you're really doing minimal breeding with the MC unless you're just deciding to play really slow and get your slaves from breeding rather than raiding. So locking that behind an upgrade wouldn't really effect how strong it is, since you should be able to get that upgrade before you reach the point of breeding for traits rather than extra slaves.

I just hope they don't hold back on account of hoping for a Steam release. MBM is one of my favorite NSFW games not only because I enjoyed the gameplay but because of the level of debauchery it embraced. If they choose to leave out loli/shota stuff (or include it but as an afterthought) I'm gonna be disappointed. My taste in smut is wide and I enjoyed the variety :-/
Did MBM even have much loli content in the first place? I've admittedly barely touched it since it didn't hold my interest when I tried it out and have been holding off for the Steam release before trying it again, but from I remember there wasn't really that much loli content in it. Really just one of the NPCs and the rabbit girls iirc, unless you count the other races being able to spawn with flat chests as "loli".
It still has gameplay, an unbalanced game will be less enjoyable long term, whether it be a porn game or not.
In MBM, any female character can give birth to a daughter if mating with a human. Daughter starts as a baby (and can't be lewded in that state), and soon grows into a loli. Loli can be lewded, and you can make the whole establishment work on lolis.
Ah, that would explain it, my little time of playing MBM ended before I unlocked the brothel so I never did any Human x Human mating.

It's in a main menu after you finish the game. Rune doesn't have scenes, just one CG which you get in her ending (it's also a game over).
