To be fair if I remember right, Black Market wasn't an arbitrary ban, the lolis in it were like... explicitly children. Not even a "we all know they're children but we say they're not" but actually "this is a kid".

The issue becomes much easier as soon as people's lives stop depending on it. That's what UBI is for - so that artists would be able to live in reasonable comfort regardless of whether their art is appreciated or outlawed.
It also solves the problem of being tied to a job.

UBI is a fairy tale though especially with the current political climate especially in the US. If you cant convince people that healthcare is a right or basic shit like due process or trans rights are there is no chance in hell you can convince people that UBI is a good idea. As soon as it is brought up there is always incoherent screeching about how brown people and gay people are gonna abuse it and teeth gnashing about who is going to pay for it. Meanwhile everyone cheers as billionaires get tax cuts and the average joe is left footing the bill.

Honestly the steam release is a mixed bag. On one hand it does open up the gates for more sales but on the other it is playing chicken with what the moderators randomly will let pass or not. Getting a rejection early could just lead them into not worrying so much and just adding in more things that steam would consider "questionable" like the loli body type in MBM. Though with DLsite also cracking down on that stuff it might just be off the table entirely. Im actually still waiting for the game to progress in dev further before i give it a shot so im just assuming that isnt in the game currently.

I agree with what kopiluwak said about rules being "coin flip" with a content of H-games. What I wrote about Steam release so far is true, the only problem which moderators can frown upon is bestiality - usage of horses in a brothel. Like, if that's the issue... well, yeah, it would be a problem to solve for devs. As I said, loli-content isn't a problem for steam release, because that content is reserved for a "patch". Can horses be set in the same way, code-wise? No idea.

Review process is not fast in this case, which I find concerning because I thought everything is set.

Wait, DLsite is cracking down on loli content? Though right now all the game really has is big or bigger, with the closest to a smaller body type being that the female goblins are shortstacks.

Not technically. They are being less direct with tags and blocking viewership of stuff like it or even remotely related outside of Japan forcing you to use a VPN to see or buy it.

Yes, Steam release is coming but we don't know when it's going to be approved. I explained all technical details I know about new build (link).

I don't know what kind of build is on 072 Project site, honestly.
