might be a weird take but i honestly found ero dungeons gameplay to be more interesting and engaging than darkest dungeon. something about the core gameplay loop just feels a lot tighter. shame its in a finished version, the developers sequel isnt quite as engaging to meOh wait Dohna Dohna has a DD like gameplay? I knew about it but never looked that closely into it, I just thought it was a VN or something. As for Ero Dungeon, never heard of that before but I'll check it out.

Looking at the update, I think they focused on the body of the gameplay to expand the strategic scope of the Tower Defense mechanics. In any case, I think we’ve got a really solid skeleton to build on.Yeah, 0.6 was very much a necessary rework of the foundations but it has left the game in a skeleton state while everything else is fixed up to work with the new foundations. It's part of the reason why I'm annoyed 0.7 is introducing a new character rather than focusing on putting the flesh back on the game and improving on the elves. In its current state I really don't see how 1.0 could be a full release unless 0.8 and 0.9 are absolutely massive updates.
Oh yeah like I said, 0.6 is very much an improvement on the foundations the game previously had, it's just that with what we've seen from their 0.7 posts they seem to be more focused on adding new characters than what they should be doing. That being, like I said, bringing back the mechanics they had to remove during the transition (raiding and infamy) and fixing elves (currently there is absolutely no justification to use elves over base humans, or really anything over base humans, Sisters and the Spellblade Elves have no value as breeders either).probably be a while before we have something that feels like a full game. i'd argue "preference" for people that just play for the fun of it, without min-maxing.currently there is absolutely no justification to use elves over base humans, or really anything over base humans
It's not even about min-maxing, you quite literally cannot get any elves stronger than the elves you can capture, which like for humans and everything else, are way too weak to be useful in the long run. Monster girls can only produce human offspring so the only way to get more elves is to breed elves with the MC, but the MC provides no stat increases to their offspring meaning you wont get stronger elves (outside the low chance for a mutation producing an offspring with slightly better stats than their parents).i'd argue "preference" for people that just play for the fun of it, without min-maxing.
They obviously rushed to implement Elves because that was a highly desired request. Monkey's paw. I imagine he'll get around to it at a later time. Like we've been doing for these games, check in on the updates. See what's new, play a bit, move on. The elves definitely need better implementation with the eugenics system, and they do need their own animations. If we can get that, and get fully implemented knights in the next patch, that'll be excellent.I'm not asking for elves to be more optimal than humans, I just want them to be reasonable to use without heavily gimping yourself. Cause as it stands elves are literally just humans with pointy ears (to the point base elves literally share all their animations with base humans), worse stats, and are incomparably harder to improve. Just make them at least practical to use, though ideally give them a niche as well since as it stands when serving as breeders there is literally no differences between the four types of humanoids other than appearance and the fact that base humans are the only ones who can benefit from eugenics. Unlike their previous game, MBM, where every race had their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
Yeah, 0.7 really should've focused on being a part two of the 0.6 overhaul, re-working the mechanics removed for the overhaul to be brought back and expanding on elves. Adding a new character now feels like a waste of time, especially as a new human sub-class instead of a new race. Like... don't get me wrong the knight and bestiality is neat, but kinda poorly timed. I do miss the raiding feature and wish that could be redone or implemented in a different way in the future.
