I would love to play because it looks like you can interact with the girl but with the PC that I have for sure, just opening it would explode

I'm pretty sure the game doesn't do a shader pre-comp and loads a shitton of LODs right from the get-go causing immense amounts of framerate jitter and lag, doesn't help that I'm runnig it off from my old hard drive if that is indeeded the case, no way in hell I'm testing this on one of my SSDs.

New build seems to run even worse than the old ones, can't get the game to run over 20 FPS, insane...

My 3070 is hitting single digits most of the time so to speak, the only part where I can get over 30 FPS is on the exploration scenes, pretty sure the game is trying to load unneeded LODs from the get-go given how it starts up.
I'm on a 2070 super and am not having any troubles??

Bloat, and some unneeded stuff from the "sandbox" mode.
Man honestly I just gotta say how damn bad your takes are throughout the entire thread xD
  • You only play porn games on ultra even if its a stylized one.
  • You dont think fingering, dildo play, blowjobs ... are sexual encounters ...
  • You dont know why the game has a specific size but you immediately jump to conclusions without knowing a single thing about this games production ...
  • You complain about the sandbox but dont aknowledge the fact that 99% of all 3D porn games are mostly sandbox games (wildlife, captn hardcore, heat ... list goes on)

Yes but other sandbox games are more fully fledged and they don't expect you to place assets up for sex scenes like you're making a scene in something like Honey Select or Koikatsu which I'd rather go that way if that's the case.

Your game is suffering severely from shader compilation issues on the other hand, which is funny as you mention some titles that run in UE5 as well. It didn't even help lowering the graphics that much, I still kept getting low framerates but I could also assign that to my almost 10 year old hard drive reading speed and whatnot in which I already addressed before.

Beefy hardware ain't gonna do much even in lower settings if your game isn't well optimised, take a game like Saints Row 2 or Grand Theft Auto IV, both from 2008 which even 15 years later are still a nightmare to run decently even on current hardware which is more than 10x more powerful than what we had back then.

About the sexual acts, what I think and most people that have watched this thread for a while probably have the same thing on their mind is about what was removed and haven't been reintroduced yet. I'm not the only one that complained about that either.

I do know that game development takes time, especially for a project of your scope, if it seems that I'm complaining I'm just mainly criticising what I believe should be addressed, now if you don't want to take the criticism then it's not my problem. I do like the idea of the game and all and look forward to seeing more progress otherwise I wouldn't be here writing these paragraph long posts, now would I?

Now please, it feels like I'm being witch hunted on this thread by you, the developer and that other guy, I am hotheaded but that doesn't mean I can't partake in civilised talk even if it's a porn related forum thread.

Anyways, best regards and I do look forward to seeing more progress, best of luck to ya mate.

Yes but [...] best of luck to ya mate.
You know I love that your bringing up Koikatsu because it illustrates my point so well:

was founded 1997 and they have been developing games since then. A game usually takes anything between 3-5 years to be developed & released. More or less xD

Especially when your talking about big brand hentai games, most of them have previous games that had similar tech involved or at least they could work towards their big brand game for a while.

This game has started its first line of code in December 2021, the first gameplay concept was released just 2.5 months later. We switched from UE4 to UE5 and fully rebuild the game again in another 2 months, clearly communicating with everyone who supports us why some things changed and others got added. The major change between Pre Alpha and Alpha was moving from system driven gameplay to story driven gameplay and putting system driven gameplay into a "development stage 2" pass.

We have been releasing content on a monthly schedule including wallpapers, videos, devblogs, interviews, streams and on top of that regular releases - to make sure that for every bit we are missing in the game right now, people who support us are definitely getting their value.

We know the game isn´t feature complete or 100% optimized so we clearly communicate it´s features, known issues and actively support our patrons with technical support.

I think a lot of you here have unreasonable expectations measuring our game against fully completed titles or titles that have many .. MANY years more in development time put into them already.

That said: I did a bit of a deep dive for the shader compile topic and even though my initial bias was "what? shaders are getting precompiled when I package the builds..." I couldn´t find any good information on how exactly Unreal Engine is handling shaders for packaged builds.

Honestly first thought "wtf is the dude talking about" but I don´t like just saying that without the proof in my hands. So I reached out to some people who know a lot more than me about this and got this response back:

When people complain about shader compilation stutters happening to them on PC, they're often correct. Without going into the internals of DirectX 12 [...] the driver locally compiles a "pipeline state object", basically a machine code version of the shader that's specific to your hardware and driver version. Those get cached locally, but the first time that shader is executed, it has to compile first. That can cause very noticable stuttering, especially in the first impression phase when players play the game for the first time... The reason for EBT dx12 works like this I can't tell you exactly, but I think it was meant to improve the flexibility of the rendering pipeline, to be able to swap out pipeline states as needed. Anyway, since there is such a wide variety of hardware out there on PC (and mobile too), it's unfeasible to precompile shaders for all possible permutations that could exist, because that will massively bloat your game's install size. (On consoles, where the variety is drastically lower, this isn't a problem, and we precompile stuff.)
It's a problem that only shows up on fresh machines that haven't played a build of the game before, and most PCs in a studio are not that. So unless you know how to specifically test for this, you're unlikely to notice that it's a problem.
They also provided a new avenue to explore such as . I fucking love that even though we´re on different footing here, the result of this part of our discussion is gonna improve the gameplay experience for our patrons in the future :3

PSO Caching wont make its way into the game for a while because it would slow down feature development which is more relevant to an ALPHA phase of development. But we´ll definitely have that up and running eventually.

And finally - no your not getting witch hunted xD You are getting pirate hunted :devilish: :sneaky:
