That explains why it runs so bad, why would you use UE5 for that? Not even Epic decided to implement it into their games yet, at least add Vulkan rendering into it,
Fortnite has been running on Unreal 5 for around a year now. Epic always uses their Engine Updates in their own games way ahead of delivering it even as Experimental Feature to Developers.

We are definitely looking for enabling Vulkan later down the road though. But thats currently out of scope and def not prio 1.

If you really are the dev then at least add Vulkan as an optional API or a fallback to DX11, I just can't stand the pisspoor optimisation of DX12.
DX11 is out of the question, since both Nanite and Lumen do not work on DX11. And yeah I think we all know for years now that DX12 is not the most stable. Just as FSR2 btw xD

Logical leap is the pisspoor optimisation from the dev, and UE5 isn't really fit for games... Yet... We only had tech demos, no games using UE5 came out yet, there are NO current AAA titles that use it, only games in development.

I dunno if that's really the dev because if it is and he switched to UE5 for a game like this, it's a dumb move imo.
We are developing with the financial support of patrons that expect monthly updates.

Anyone paying for this product knows its in a Alpha Stage of Development with all the Ups and Downs that come with it.

Other studios get a publisher and investors and work in UE5, they do not have to show any progress to users publicly. We do.

Kinda out of the blue but why are you pushing these two techs into a game/project of this kind? I mean, I've seen them working in real time with the UE5 tech demos, it looks great but... they aren't what I'd call stable, I didn't outright test them on PC but on my PS5 since the Matrix tech demo came out there before PC. The console kinda struggled a bit, sorta reminded me of the PS3 era but with better graphics in some sort of way.
Digital Foundry made a video about it so to speak and you can see the framerate fluctuations a bit clearer.

You're right about Fortnite being in UE5, that I didn't know but it doesn't use those techs from what I ended up searching about, even with the DX12 Beta mode (which microstutters like crazy, it's basically unplayable in a competitive aspect, i.e. the battle royale mode).

And well, all things considered... Mind if I suggest DLSS support?

The major reason we went for FSR2 is bcs of its wider cross compatibility (and low implementation time). We will take a look at DLSS in the future though.

ANBW is a large ass project and needs tools like Lumen and Nanite in order to be viable for production. In general: UE5 is a lot more viable for larger Indie Productions at the time, compared to UE4 because it contains tools that massively optimize the day to day work cycles.

Jesus, the writing in this is really shit. I know it's a porn game, and it's not a particularly high bar to clear, but the writing is egregiously fucking terrible. Maybe the voice actress is the problem. It's nice that there is a voice actress, but that is one unsexy voice.
