They are back to showing concept arts and drawings of stuff like equipment and shit like they started doing with Malise, just in case anyone was still wondering if this was actually going to ever see any progress

If you really want an effective way to follow the game, just check Eromancer's twitter every two weeks.
*every 2 months probably would be a better way he hasn't posted now in a few months and the game was supposed to get an update in June it is now almost end of August lol....

He underestimates what a bad impression that makes.
7 People are working on this Game and he startet end 2013 with that Game. If you cant get your Game done after 7 Years and 6 more people working for you, you doing something wrong. Thats my Opinion after watching his Patreon. And maybe i´am not the only one. With that Page it will not easy to find new supporters. (and i really wanted to support him but it looks i would get no full game for my money)

Seven people, allegedly. They are demonstrably frauds and liars, so why not pad numbers a bit? Make it seem like the money has to go further than it actually does. Like they once claimed someone who allegedly worked on the new Blade Runner film was working with them. All lies, I reckon, to keep the money coming in. Keep the fraud goind a little longer. When this one falls flat, if it falls flat, start a new one under a new Patreon ID. I will give them some benefit of the doubt and I reckon they started Malise and the Machine meaning well, but making a big, or even average sized, RPGM game that looks and plays well is hard. Completing it would take a lot of effort, and they noticed they could milk a lot of money giving limp and late updates. It's the only likely explanation for the MATM prologue looking and playing so well compared to the shit since.

Well, according to the yiff page ( ) the last game update was on may 29th lel.

Apart from that it is the usual "ehrmergerd we are gonna put so much stuff in this game!", which will ultimately take ages to implement properly and give eromancer enough reason to milk the patrons further.

Not if he needed any in the first place though :>

I had joined the patreon just to see what all the hullabaloo was about. And it is exactly like they say. Slow like really slow, makes me wonder what the other 7 do albeit full time or part-time they work on this project. Here's a list of their last updates from their latest demo.

Pick up items
Level up progress
Menu(UI, honestly not much other than the pause menu)
Item equip function


Overview : Random cosmetic changes along with one function. No other characters implemented, no boss etc. Considering this game is 2 years into development considering how shiny it should be way more progressed than this. My recommendation is spend money on atelier tia instead or a different game, its similar game (tatas may not be as big) and quicker progress.

Change Log

- Added framework for interactable objects to the game world. Objects that can be interacted with will be highlighted with a targeting cursor when Onyx is nearby.
- Added first batch of models and graphics for loot and power-up drops.
- Added Status menu screen
- Added Inventory menu screen
- Added icon graphics framework and first batch of icons.
- Added equipment to the game. Onyx can now equip and unequip gear in her 8 equipment slots (items for 6 of the 8 exist in this release). Equipment does not yet change visuals on Onyx.
- Added prototype framework for equipment Tier and Rarity.
- Added consumable items to the game
- Added power-ups to the game
- Added score/currency bonus items to the game.
- The player can destroy items clogging up Onyx’s inventory by pressing the F key / R2 button with an item highlighted in the inventory screen. This is likely a placeholder feature until we add more functional/interesting mechanics.
- Added the Loot Window to the game.
- Onyx can manually pick up nearby items and power-ups when the player presses the F key/R2 button.
- Onyx can automatically pick up score and currency bonuses by proximity.
- Added a placeholder drop table for item drops. Item find is very high for this test release.
- Updated design format for menu sidebar
- Updated Game Over screen graphics
- Added input device-based control indicator graphics (while using a PlayStation controller, the game will show PS icons, or keys for a keyboard, etc.).
- Added automatic keyboard layout detection for control indicators. If you use a non-US keyboard and get issues with how controls are displayed (in the bottom right corner), let us know!

Important Notes / TO-DO (Please read!)
- Score / currency pick-ups are currently represented by the green cubes. We haven't added graphics for these items yet.
- Some stats are currently nonfunctional. So even though you'll see attack / defense increasing on Onyx, they aren't tied into the game's damage algorithms yet.
- Gear drop rate is very high right now for testing purposes, and the inventory system is not finalized (expect it to fill up very fast - especially since we capped inventory size due to a last-minute UI issue).
- The inventory is a work-in-progress. Detailed item cards will come later, as opposed to showing stats in the description window.
- Using consumables is clunky at the moment since you have to do it from the inventory screen. This will be improved by the Quick Menu (you will add consumables to that from the inventory and then use them in real-time).
- Most of the UI is placeholder still. The status screen and loot window are more representative of what the final UI will look like.
- As mentioned above, equipment does not yet change visuals on Onyx!
Known Issues
From now on I'm only going to include new and highly relevant issues in these posts, but will keep the full known issues list posted on the reward download page.
Jump may not trigger if Onyx is moving and the frame rate is low.

Idk bro it's supposed to be a fighting game but does it happen only to me that I press a key and Onyx throws the punch like 5 hours later ?

who would of thought makers of porn/porn games would be so seedy... i'm joking of course but this dev doesn't exactly have the best track record what kinda sucks cause malice and the machines was pretty cool (porn wise) and this game has a very cute main character...but deep down i know this is gonna just end one day. But hey lets be real atleast they have not been making the same game for what seems like ever...(cough cough Love potion cough cough).

Man it was this guy's other game that brought me to this website in the first place looking for exclusive versions! Even then I saw the insane time between last updates and stayed clear of his stuff. Glad to see they've not changed at all and are still stringing people along with the absolute bare minimum. Has anything new even come of the last game or is it on "indefinate hiatus" since nothing on patreon is ever officially cancelled to keep the subs up?

I do like this game and Malise and the Machine style but as its been said many times the developers really don't make progress with their games and have yet to finish one(though admittedly only released 2 as far as I'm aware). If I remember right the last update was May and with what's been added the changelog it can pretty much be boiled down to we added pickup able items to the game but most don't work right and/or have graphics missing as there not done yet.

Because stats = findobjectoftype<playerstats>();
Atkalgorithm =existingformula + stats.atk;
Is very hard to add for testing purposes.
Also the other stuff they implemented can be covered with 3 youtubetutorials a 40 minutes.
What are they doing with their lives?

Edit: lack of sleep and stuff.
