Some fun facts that'll make you feel old?

When Eromancer announced this game, it was close to

- The first Nintendo Switch release
- Detroit : Become human was released
- Nvidia still on the 20-series cards
- Apple launches iphone XS
- That kid you know that just graduated university last year? he was just about to enter highschool
- remember that baby that was born back then? he's probably around 4th-5th grade now
- Malaise and the Machine was one year old

Indie devs are just as bad as triple-A studios, if not worse.

Choose: Unpolished triple-A slop or unfinished indie game with a shaky development schedule and potential scam.

First, congrats on getting both the desk and the chair. Surprised that black friday sales are a thing in japan, too. Full price it might have been a choice between the two, and the other having to wait for the next month. Perish the thought that they might have to stand at the desk for a month.

I can not believe that people think this scam is going to end up becoming a game. I see countless single dev games on ci-en, and most of them end up taking about 6-ish months to go from a concept, development, and into a released game. I do not think many of these devs have much of a per month following. They rely on finishing the game and selling thru dlshite.

I surmise if the monthly support flatlined, then there might be a shift toward actually finishing things. There was significant progress when patreon kicked them to the curb and they had to find a new supporter base to con into thinking there was something at the end of the tunnel. This whole thing seems to have more in common with a dying prince that wants to give me their fortune. I only need to pay that processing fee, then another fee, next another fee, and another fee until its crystal clear that there is no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow.

Same bullshit is happening here, honestly. Someone stupid enough to pay sees an animation, and then another animation for the next month. Next thing you know, they are paying well in excess of what the game might cost if it ever finished for.. what exactly?

Oh, lets look at a triple A developer. Duke Nukem Forever took literally forever to be developed, and it was total garbage. That mess aside, it is generally a 3 year window for a game from start to finish. Sure, you see some games that are shown at a base level and then 5+ years later the game starts to get pushed. How long has it taken for most of the modern final fantasy rpg games from start to finish? Comparably speaking, how long did it take for streets of rage 4? River city girls? TMNT: Shredder's Revenge? Hell, insert just about any other beat-em-up and the development time is around 2.5 years. Google the development times on these games and educate yourselves.

Facts do not care about feelings. This has been strung out for 8? years (feels longer) when it was initially billed as a "small side project". Small side projects are done in six months to a year. Hell, projects on cien are done in about that same time frame.

All these new previews are cool and all but when are we gonna get a new patch its been since october? Do they intend on doing a big mega patch or something for christmas with not one new animation but two? Seems kinda underweleming Id rather the monthly little tiddlywinks of content drops then these long waits cause there building up anticipation for what? Im sure whatever they release will somehow manage to not meat expectations even with all the time given
