I pretty much wrote the same some time ago with my summary of the whole shitfest.
But just to remind you - no, beastly stuff is NOT allowed by any means or in any form and Patreon is rather strict about it...if they find out. So...a kind soul could always put the whole thing to their attention and we can all find out what they gonna do about it from there :D
Then they would just be back to the old rape version before the removal seeing as the bug was the only addition.

I guess they would just remove the bug enemy and return to unprogressive roots or use it as another excuse. Maybe they will fix the WIP with some consensual animations. Who knows. Maybe in few years we might get an actual Beta Version of game with little bit of content before they decide to 'hiatus it' to work on a third game.

- relevant comments :coffee:

hypocrites from patreon -:devilish: - not Eromancer with the team
I have no censorship words for these creatures :cautious:

P.S. - The best way out of this situation would be a patch, which will remove controversial animation and content
but which can also return the deleted back - and really say goodbye to patreon

Quite ironic for a hard-working and caring dev to be in hesitation whether they should switch patronage platforms or not. Instead, they found reasons to prolong their development with yet another rework of grapple animation and insisted on staying on Patreon instead of just allocating all their passionate work to a new place with lesser restrictions and better open-end policy.

As if it's a big loss for them from a simple platform switch and they almost have little-to-no confidence in their 'product' that it definitely can sell itself well and easily attracts any willful backer at all. :coffee:

I'm quite certain at this point that they are aware that, at least 20% to 30% of their funding pool will be lost upon the completion of platform switch. Because those were the no-care backer that might just forget they still keep pledging to eromancer until now. Or they might just have almost no faith in their loyal fans and their capability to raise the funding pool back to its usual point at all.

It's become more and more obvious that they are more loyal to their paycheck than the fans that paid them. I'm quite certain that the rapey animation aspect might as well got reported to Patreon stuff by some of their backers, which drove EroTeam into this kind of corner and unintentionally show their colors in the process.

But hey, that just a theory :BootyTime:

Not that I even care much about their game at this point, if they actually manage to finish their game before I died of old age then that's a win for us all. If not, I'll just keep playing something else till they do, or don't, it really is whatever for me.

Also mentions a save system. So may be you can leave part way through a level now instead of needing to complete it fully to save looted items.

vioreaper + femcomp as in double teaming onyx or is it just another lazy vioreaper and femcop scene as in femcop in place of onyx? bc if so that's a lazy update
I don't know, but I'd say it's 99% chance to be the latter. We know how lazy they are. A brand new animation every month is not going to happen...

a brand new animation when it should be 5 new animations and 2 new enemies and more maps and weapons, clothing and content every single month. and this is the bare minimum because he makes enough to make double that content each month as a released update.

for god sakes this guy is making more money in a month than most people, yet he's updating with less content then people who earn 10% of the amount :ROFLMAO:

his followers are basically simps, and simps are known to ruin every good thing in this world, including women.

What the hell are you talking about? How much does he earn? (Eromancer) - Does he get all the money from the cartridges?
The amount of money for each participant in this project is too small for them to work at least 5 hours a day.

P.S.- I don't defend him (Eromancer), but I try before you convey the idea that even a small game should be developed by a team of at least 30-50 people.
And to receive normal money, and not conditionally miserable $15,000-$18,000 for 12 people, it is not clear even a week or a month.

P.S.2- C Fallen Doll: Operation Lovecraft Subverse is also screwed, although this porn game oddly enough, the best looks more or less finished.
It has at least a few levels, albeit simple ones.

I rarely get triggered by bullshit but this time, I simply am astounded by the sheer ignorance or deliberate simplification of the problem.

Your "miserable" 15-18k$/month DIVIDED by 12 is enough to live a rather decent life in many countries because that's how a lot of game devs earn (it's one of the reasons why no one who cares about money goes into corporate game making). Money is not an issue here, they have enough to work full time on the freaking Azores or Canaries.

I had to double check my facts here but looks like I remember it well:
Average CDP Red dev earns around 1,8-2k$/month (let's remember that crunch is real). You may still use the "project scale" argument here...so, let's throw a different example - Madmind Studio (~25 people, responsible for Agony and Succubus) posted offers for seniors, mids and juniors a few months ago that were in range of something like 1-3k$, depending on the role. People responsible for Metro or Stalker series earned even less per person, with most of the money going to the leading guys.

Some developers worked for years on their projects and made an award winning masterpieces by themselves or with a little help, without much of the external funding.

Let's say the previous Eromancer's project was a success and they've learned a thing or two about game making and business...Knowing this, please tell me, how can you even consider that a project being done by "experienced" devs (sic) of that scale is still so far behind in terms of actual content and playability? Mechanics (if we can call it that) were done long time ago, a lot of models and levels are suspected to be done a year ago as well and only refined at this point.
