You need to add the Uncensored Patch to see the lewd content. With the patch you see the whole scenes....

One thing that has always bothered me is the substitution with the canine dick. Why not use something alien instead? Doesn't really give the feeling of Tom turning into a creature of the lake, more like a feral wolfboy instead.

It's the devs way of staying within Patreons guidelines, except he has taken it to an extreme level for some reason. Anyways the patch is universal so you just need to add it to every new update then continue.
