You're playing on the "Test Build" of the game, which only includes Forbidden Space content. Check the "Old Builds" (v0.85f, Jan 2020) to see the rest of the game.is there any way to skip the floors test at the start of the game? it's been a long time since I played it and I don't remember this part, any saves will be appreciated
I mean even the older builds aren't that good. Certainly not overall 3.4 stars good. I don't get why people rate games based on potential rather than whats currently out there. The game for the past half decade is basically a google translated mess with MMD models doing poorly animated sex scenes in a half baked open world.I mean, if you spent 5 minutes and went back a few pages in the forum, you would've realized that what's been uploaded to the OP is a standalone test-build for a game that hasn't been updated in about 4ish years and that all the review are for that old build. Instead, for some reason, you've opted to post a odd rant comparing the game mechanics of a non-H game made by a AAA studio to that of an H-game created by a single guy.
Like, honestly, what the fuck?
First and foremost, please take a moment to look at the original comment I responded to and why I did so. The comparisons they were making were completely nonsensical as they went on a hyperfocused rant as to why R-Life isn't as good Vermintide 2 and why can't have it the same mechanics as their favourite game Vermintide 2, despite R-Life being a completely different genre of game, and also not made by a AAA studio. So, yeah, that was why that comment was directed as such. To summarize: they entered the forum, they didn't read the forum, they downloaded the new test build (which frankly should have been stated better by mods in the OP, and still hasn't been updated as such), they then failed to inquire why the reviews did not match the content of the game they played, and then proceded to go on a non-sequitur rant about their favourite game and why this game isn't the same as their favourite game. Kinda fuckin' weird, innit?I mean even the older builds aren't that good. Certainly not overall 3.4 stars good. I agree with a lot of things. The game was actually very interesting and I killed a lot of time with it. One of the few games that was actually playable. Pseudo-open world, less hand-holding, do whatever you want style, play, explore, grind.First and foremost, please take a moment to look at the original comment I responded to and why I did so. Anyways, this is where I need to disagree with your comment. There hasn't really been any other major game that has this amount of content in a pseudo-open world without having being catered to some specific fetish (i.e. exclusively furry content or content that openly violates Rule 7). Four years ago, or I guess closer to five years ago at this point, this game held a decent audience because of its features. Good enough sex scenes, good enough content, and a good mixture of mechanics, all wrapped into one game. That was what made it unique and kept it interesting. Hell, it's also why I supported it for awhile. Moreover, when it was getting regular updates, it was one of very few 3d sandbox sex games that actually kept generating releases, compared to most open world projects which either died within three months of their initial release or were stuck in some technical development hell and disappeared thereafter (And that's excluding the many projects which were using default assets from unity store with no modification or customization efforts).
I can understand you may feel underwhelmed by this game, and I do agree there is a certain level of jank (especially dungeon 2, lmao dungeon 2 pissed so many people off back in the day before the update), but for what this game is and the fact it was made by a solo dev is still impressive. I'd love to see another dev come along and try to make a game of this scale/scope, but realistically, that hasn't happened and probably won't.
That being said, am I irritated that the dev didn't release a new build for over four years? Yes.
Am I disappointed they haven't posted anything since being active for around two weeks when they released the new build(s)? Yes.
Am I still going to play whatever builds they put out, when someone has the time to share it here? Abso-fucking-lutely yes.
Again, you're completely entitled to your opinion, I just want you to understand why many users hold this game in fairly high regard.
Lisland?content that openly violates Rule 7
Now I think about Way of the Sorcerer. Dead game and pretty forgotten, but it was good. There hasn't really been any other major game that has this amount of content in a pseudo-open world without having being catered to some specific fetish
I've never heard of any of the 3 games you mentioned, to my surprise, I'll have to check them out. Full 3D porn games with anything even remotely resembling an open world are still pretty rare despite UE (I don't really count all the Illusion games). Was checking out Monolith Bay a few months ago which definitely fits the bill, but it's still smaller in total area and content than R-life I think (though with better graphics and controls).I agree with a lot of things. The game was actually very interesting and I killed a lot of time with it. One of the few games that was actually playable. Of course, you can protest that it's a UE4 game, which looks like UE2, oldschool look and gameplay, clunky controls. But if you give it a chance..A lot of things to do.
Also Mazex (live again). But Drabel wants to cut a lot on content a keep it low profile, so I don't know if it will still be open-world and rich on scenes/gameplay.
Considering it's heavily implied that HL3 is in active development again, this is a very real possibilityHalf-Life 3 gonna come out before the next real release![]()
Yup, it's pulling a ton of valve's stuff from other games in active development like Deadlock even. Woulda been safer to use Star Citizen, Wildlife, or Sumertime Saga lol. Those will never be complete.Considering it's heavily implied that HL3 is in active development again, this is a very real possibility![]()
