I don't particularly care about V one way or another. I find her characterization interesting, and I also tried to cheat on her but that path doesn't seem to be coded correctly and you can't get on that route.View attachment 4374858
I already shared this in the past but.. Man I fucking hate her. When I learned there is a cheating path, I tried it. At least tried to try it. But I cannot even get through the "Who cares about your vegetable daughter, why aren't you fcking me 24/7, why aren't you proposing, why aren't you paying for my 401k, why are you teaching a class that has other women than me in it?" themed abuse part of her. Fuck V. I hope she dies in the next update so that I don't have to wonder whether the only remaining "locked" parts in the gallery is worth seeing.
P.S. I normally playthrough every LIs story in literally every other game I play, it's like a FOMO for me I want to see everything a game has to offer. Even in normal games, I nearly plat almost every game I play. Missing out on an optional dialog, mission really bothers me(That's why I avoid games like bethesda games, games like no man's sky, etc. its almost impossible to truly finish). So you don't have any idea how unbearable you have to be for me to actively avoid you in a game. But holy shit I've never seen a leech like V. (It has a voldemort like effect, saying it's name is forbidden)
True, it felt so weird when he did that. And surprisingly it's forced...First of all, MC is the biggest offender of being insensitive about the fact that his daughter is in a coma. This mfker, after coming home from the hospital where he learned his daughter is in a coma that could take years to get out of and he is fucked financially, goes to the bar and starts making cringe as fuck puns with some blonde slut he just met.
When that big of a tragedy happens, almost every possible action is justified. You can close the doors, curtains and cry in your home. You can go to a bar with a dear friend. You can pick a fight with your piece of shit ex husband/wife. You can bet on and race in illegal racing. You can fuck around. You can go bungee jumping. You can even go bungee jumping without the rope. These are all justified and they all have one thing in common, they won't really help. They might ease some of the burden but end result will not differ. That's why I don't hold anything against Allie, she's going through the same thing, her actions are too justified. Considering MC is almost always sure that he will make things right (sometimes even stupidly optimistic about it) I'm not surprised the bar option is the one he selected to go with.I don't particularly care about V one way or another. I find her characterization interesting, and I also tried to cheat on her but that path doesn't seem to be coded correctly and you can't get on that route.
With that out of the way, you guys are honestly pretty cringe with your 'MC is god, bitches need to support MC or be thrown to the streets,' mentality. First of all, MC is the biggest offender of being insensitive about the fact that his daughter is in a coma. This mfker, after coming home from the hospital where he learned his daughter is in a coma that could take years to get out of and he is fucked financially, goes to the bar and starts making cringe as fuck puns with some blonde slut he just met. His attitude is completely detached from the situation he is in. He makes the occasional shout out to his daughter about how he will do everything in his power to fix things, but in reality, he is just out there having fun racing and banging chicks.
In truth, that is also glossing over much of the nuance and being overly harsh, but that's about the same level of assessment you guys are giving the girls in this game, whether it be the ex-wife or Veronica.
I agree, but, You are speaking on deaf ears here. The people here have double standards. They will criticize Veronica, but not MC. I feel like you can't criticize one and not the other.I don't particularly care about V one way or another. I find her characterization interesting, and I also tried to cheat on her but that path doesn't seem to be coded correctly and you can't get on that route.

Hmm......Jasmine is far away the best but for all the choices we are given and different routes couldn't we get one to skip eating ass?...but eating ass is such a turn off for me a lot of VN's allow anal to be skipped entirely...for me just thinking about licking a poop chute makes me a little
That's how I feel when people discuss pineapple or spinach. For me just thinking about licking a poop chute makes me a little .
You clearly view her motivations and actions through shit colored glasses. How did she harass or force anything lol. She simply wants to be more involved and take their relationship forward. She wants to be the one to share his burdens and bla bla bla. When that big of a tragedy happens, almost every possible action is justified. You can close the doors, curtains and cry in your home. Truth be told, going to a bar and making jokes isn't what I would've done either. But let's say that the MC is an asshole, he can't care less that his daughter just become an eggplant. That doesn't make it okay for anyone other than MC and Allie to act them any less sensitively. MC being an asshole doesn't change the events from V's perspective one bit. Still her fuckbuddy's (notice how I'm not saying "boyfriend" or husband) daughter just had an accident and went into a coma. You try to communicate with him, he rejects. You have few options here too. You can try to communicate more subtly (without harassing), you can just be there for him no need for a verbal communication, you can fuck off until he's ready to communicate with you, you can even try to goad him to get some sort of reaction for his sake not for your ulterior motive, basically anything but trying to push your own agenda on him. These are the options... if you're not a total asshole yourself. Sadly, that's the case for V. She could've done anything and I would've been ok with it, as long as I believe her intentions are pure. But she tried to force her fb into submission because she's losing him (that's the probelm, she's not losing here, MC is simply not hers to lose, few fucks and not implying anything more in any shape or form doesn't make MC her bitch). I understand she can get jealous bc every other woman in this game is better looking and flirts with mc, but that doesn't give her the right to force MC to do anything.
I probably still would've been ok if she didn't have the majority of the current content. Since there isn't anything I can do about that, bitching is my most fun option
There is a very fine line between a hopeless romantic and a creep. (If you watched himym its the dobler dahmer theory ) It depends on the reciever. I don't know how you define harrasment but if someone keeps bugging me when I reject every single advance from them and clearly don't appreciate them, I call that harassment. I wouldn't try to sue for harassment or anything but "harassment" is the term I would use when explaining that situation. Also, in most choices breakup happens because V forces mc to choose between him or jasmine on some small thing. You clearly view her motivations and actions through shit colored glasses. How did she harass or force anything lol. She simply wants to be more involved and take their relationship forward. She wants to be the one to share his burdens and bla bla bla.
Yes, she is clingy. She is insecure and jealous. But her heart is in the right place. There is no malice in her actions. Some selfishness derived from insecurity? Sure, we can make that read. But all in all, she is just a woman in love. Not some psychopath. She got some red flags just like everyone else in this story. No one is your picture perfect LI.
You have girls like Jas that is intentionally trying to be a homewrecker despite understanding full well that there is something something going on between the professors. And you got the Russian corporate espionage spy woman who is trying to get his research for some purpose. You got the ex-wife that... no, I agree that she has every right to be a cunt to MC lol.
And the script itself alludes to the fact that his divorce is just an excuse to keep Veronica at arm's length. Sure, he doesn't want to commit after just getting out of a divorce. Perfectly understandable. But depending on how you play the choices, you can really lead her on. And if you pick all the asshole options, well, MC is being an asshole to this woman. Clearly, this woman wants to be something more than a booty call, and MC knows this. Their goals don't align, and he could have ended things on a good note instead of fucking around until she breaks. But that's also asking a lot of the MC. It doesn't fall entirely on him to sort out their complicated relationship. Her breaking things off and the talk they finally have also makes sense. None of this is Veronica "forcing" or "harassing" the MC.
Clearly, you are conflating the character that is the MC with you, the player. Yes, as the player, you can dislike her character and think she is "harassing" you by continuing to try for a deeper relationship when you, the player, clearly don't want anything to do with her. There is a very fine line between a hopeless romantic and a creep. I'm very aware that Jammin couldn't have made this shit any more difficult for V but come on, just because you want something more doesn't mean you have the right to act like you already have it. I sincerely feel like V's trying to take advantage of the void mc's daughter left and use this as a tool to be something more. If you're not doing everything the way she wants it, every scene you have with her is just her being manipulatively sad over the lack of ring on her finger. This may be bad writing on the devs part, I never got through the first episode in her own path, maybe she's not that bad but simply forced on player in the first episode even if you constantly reject her. When I start a new playthrough I even consciously select "LOL Boobies" to her nude pic just to cut the conversation short. Even if you're entirely respectful, reject her and jasmine the best you could, she's still a clingy little leech. That's what bothers me. If mc's daughter didn't go through an accident, I wouldn't have been bothered this much. But I feel like you have to give mc some space no matter what his response to this tragedy is.
I'm always rejecting her with every chance I get in my playthroughs. My goal isn't to make her sad or get a revenge, it's to be as far away from her as possible (except for the attempt of a cheating playthrough due to fomo). And if you reject her, she still causes bigger drama than every other character in the game combined. And that's saying a lot. A grieving mother who hates mc's guts (justifiably), a redhead homewrecker shithead, a literal fucking international spy, dictionary definiton of victim as a neighbor. And you bother mc more than all those combined.
I'm sure there are some choices where mc leads her on and her actions are kinda justified (I still thinks "sick daughter" card removes any justification agains mc at this moment) but the opposite is also true. No matter how professional you try to choose, she's still clingy as fuck. Since mc clearly doesn't apriciate it in this choices, it's harassment and forcing in my book.
Haha youre very obviously doing exactly what you described. Its Jake's very own POV that shows him not interested in any kind of deeper relationship, its the player who is able to change this.Clearly, you are conflating the character that is the MC with you, the player. Yes, as the player, you can dislike her character and think she is "harassing" you by continuing to try for a deeper relationship when you, the player, clearly don't want anything to do with her.
You call it being "inattentive to her needs" or even "callous" when i would call it being direct and not creating false hope. The MC is very much in that mindset until you change it as the player. This is where media literacy comes into play. Take a step back and actually think about what's happening. She is not some random woman that is stalking MC and "forcing" him to do some shit she wants. They are something in between a fwb and a casual couple. How close to either side of that spectrum depends on the choices you make for MC. When she says that he never wants to introduce his family or let their relationship be known in public, MC doesn't deny that they have a relationship. To MC, it's a casual thing. A casual relationship is still something more than fwb. Relationships are a two way street and requires compromise and understanding.
But in a relationship where the two parties want different things, it's bound to veer off course, and that's what happens. No one is to blame, other than maybe both of them not ironing out the details of their relationship clearly, and sooner.
When you pick choices to blow her off or be inattentive to her needs, and just act callous in general, you, the player, is signalling that you want nothing to do with her. But MC, the character, is not at that mindset. He isn't trying to remove a stalker. He isn't trying to stop "harassment." He is just going through some shit, and is kind of an asshole if you let him be, and he is just not letting her in. Their complicated relationship is still a thing. So when this relationship that was rocky from the start and would be doomed in basically any route that isn't focusing on V, does end up not working out, it is what it is. She isn't some raging bitch that you conjured up in your head.
Lol I tried to get on the bugged 'cheating on Veronica with Jas' route and mostly picked middle choices for V throughout the game. I just don't have a terribly MC-centric view of the story like most of you arguing about LIs seem to have. Not just for this game, but it's a common theme across any game that leans towards drama.Haha youre very obviously doing exactly what you described. Which is of course fine but implying its only on the player when its Jake's very core mindset is kinda gaga. Its okay to like her without trying to convince other people of her greatness and to endure other people disliking her lmao

Both things i posted were in the very beginning on the game before any kind of cheating.Lol I tried to get on the bugged 'cheating on Veronica with Jas' route and mostly picked middle choices for V throughout the game. I still remember the people shitting on that ugly gf from Three Rules of Life because she didn't drop everything in her life (including a career defining concert, AFAIK) and rush to console the MC when his mother walked out on him. Typical takes on F95zone.

Yep... things might change in the future tho. Never denied she was physically attractive.... if only her personality matched the looks, is all I'm saying.So... you're saying you hate this woman?
Again and again you peeps only prove my point, which is lack of objectivity toward basic facts presented, specifically stated and even her own admission in the story, but y'all keep arguing for the sake of having something to argue about. This is called simping 101, not critical thinking.Allie was wronged by the MC, so her treatment towards him is reasonable. She softens up after she sees his efforts after Lily's accident.
One doesn't cancel out the other, if we think about it. And she's actively involved in his potentially game-changing battery project doing all she can on her romance path to help her man succeed and become a millionaire $$$... pull another lie out of your hat for me, cuz this one isn't working. The opposite is true of V. She starts off soft, then after the accident, she presses the MC on commitment while complaining they don't spend enough time together. Not like he has more pressing issues, like earning money for his comatose daughter's treatment or anything.
Well... this isn't what I meant, but it'd be impolite to refuse a request like this coming from a lady in need for a helping hand and something more, so sure, why not. But only cuz I see it as a chore, nothing more than that.I think he's saying he wants to fuck her. I agree!
I know that's not what he actually meant though...
HE cheated. If he was unhappy in his marriage, he could have separated. Instead he chose to remain married, cheat with someone they both worked with. Not only that, he then tried to conceal it and lied to his friends who believed him, which when it turned to be true, fractured Allie's friendship with Coop and Cammie.Again and again you peeps only prove my point, which is lack of objectivity toward basic facts presented, specifically stated and even her own admission in the story, but y'all keep arguing for the sake of having something to argue about. I admit I was a V fan, not anymore tho. Will only play her romance path for the new content. This update and the devs constantly making a clingy, needy bipolar fool of herself killed every single romantic interest I had in her and am now on the Jasmine-Maggie-Natalya best wifey bandwagon waiting to see how they screw up Maggie's and Natalya's characters too so Jasmine can win the competition.
