We can find at least 100 good reasons to hate Allison and believe those two getting back together after everything that's happened between them is complete nonsense storywise that can only work out by using porn 'logic', but after all the complaining about the MC and ALL the Veronica trolling, I find it very disappointing that almost nobody is afraid some lunatic like Wyatt will try to do something to Delilah out of spite and to sabotage the MC's so far too-smooth progress in his endeavor to make money for his daughter's treatment and become someone in the scientific community.
I think Delilah's almost-abusive everyday use in a mostly street racing game, where she's playing a crucial part in MC's winning streak, should be illegal, ffs.

However, there needs to be a certain percentage of realism in the story for a more interesting experience, otherwise non NTR porn game stories would be almost as engaging as cuck/slut simulators are with their overused, boring, nonsensical shit about women who're perfect 9s and 10s fucking guys who're perfect 1s and 2s for a sane woman with an ounce of self-esteem only on a good day and only after a looot of drinks and months spent without getting any dick. That's why non NTR stories like this one are always better than that cringey ass rapey shit.
The story changes drastically between the Hate and Reconciliatory approach. The devs really pushed "responsibility" to one or the other... as in almost a complete role swap. Yes I know both were at fault, but they really go out of their way to try and set primary ownership on one or the other.
If you are on the Hate path, MC says it was Allie who turned the marriage loveless, was never home, always working, and ignored him. And she doesn't disagree.
If you are on the reconciliatory path, Allie says the MC turned the marriage loveless, he was always gone, always working on Delilah, never home, and broke her heart when he spent more time under Delilah than her. MC even owns up to it on a few of the scenes.
The devs really went out of their way to diverge that part of the storyline, and it makes it really complex to discuss as you have to caveat your take with the path you took as the story changes.

Again....this happens on both paths, it is not a hate path exclusive conversation. I have this convo on my reconcile save.
Oh it is, but it's very much minimized compared to the rest of the conversation. Just like on the other path, it's all discussed but there's a larger focus of the talking one way or the other.
Like the dev is making a self fulfilling prophecy so that whichever route you take with her is the "right choice".

I think the devs read some of the comments in the thread on this seemingly never-ending debate and simply wanted to be done with it for good by letting the players themselves choose who's the one responsible for everything, which, if you ask me, it's wrong, bcz we don't have just one person to blame here here, we have two, both of them are, and the main one only changes genders, depending on which path you take with Allison.
There's always two sides to every accusation or story like that, but in this case, it's too much. The writer overcomplicated things for no reason, when a simple "they tried and it didn't work out cuz of this and that more or less valid reason, but their lack of life experience when making the big step toward getting married was the main reason why the marriage didn't work".
The bottom line is, shit happens, a lot of long term relationships and marriages don't last forever, ppl eventually grow apart, they say and do things they later come to regret, and everyone deserves to be forgiven as long as they work hard to earn their forgiveness and prove to their partners they deserve that second chance. So, whether the player wants Jake and Allison to be together again or not, it's a simple matter of having two different saves for both routes, and nothing more than that.
Yeah, it's why so many white knights always jump to her defense, most of the time, without taking both sides of the story into account and just cuz they saw it was the MC who cheated on her, instead of taking the logical step to divorce her first and then look for other women, to which I can only say that she didn't take this 'logical' step either, didn't put too much effort into saving their marriage until it was too late for that, but it's safe to say they both only stayed together for Lily's sake. She's the only reason why Jake and Allison didn't divorce and go their separate ways, like it usually happens IRL.
All this longwinded analysis of Allison seems so utterly silly in this context - this is a porn game first and foremost and shouldn't make apologies.
I mean, can any of you even imagine a narrative where mc had split with his wife, their daughter was in an accident and hospitalized, and mc through choices could either try and make up with the wife or push her away...... but in nearly all cases the wife was having massive amounts of sex on the side with others....
That'd be seen as a ridiculous over the top ntr-style horror story. Clearly the tone of this game isn't going for that - but that's my point, it's utterly silly to apply real world relationship logic to a world built on non-existent rules.
I was very disappointed to see the only Allison sex scene be placed on the hate route - that pretty clearly communicated to me where the dev's personal interests lie. (this is all an aside ofc, Veronica and Maggie's path are far more enjoyable than either of Allisons)

This is an visual novel with adult elements first and foremost. Yes it has some nudity and sex scenes. But it's not the main theme of the game, where one could categorize it as "porn". Porn is about people fucking, no more no less, sometimes dressed in a shitty story to accommodate the mentioned fucking . There are games that do just that, but this ain't one of them.
I don't say it's a porn game because there's sex present. I say it's a porn game because of the narrative leaps it takes - such as I described above. Relax, I'm not coming for your first born, the rest of the game was extremely enjoyable; I just think the whole Allison-daughter care segments juxtaposed with mc's free-fucking behvaior felt incongruent.
In contrast, the segments where Veronica wants to break up if you push her away or give in to Jasmine too much felt very mature and well-done, I was impressed with how he did those paths.

Ppl going to great lengths to debate stuff happening in the story can only mean the story's worth it and on its sure way to become a success.
Their fictional divorce became more debated and heated than Johnny's with Amber Turd was and just as interesting to follow lol. I'm not judging anyone, cuz I did my fair share of debating on this topic too.But seriously now, I for one would've preferred their already-failing marriage ended in divorce bcz of the player's choice, not the 'plot'. This way, instead of both routes having one of them become the bigger idiot to blame on one route than on its counterpart, the player themselves would decide IF Jake and Allison really do divorce and try to work together as best as they can to co-parent Lily OR they stay together, work on their marriage and make things work eventually. It's the same shit, only this time, we'd have control over what they do and say to save their marriage or flush it down the toilet and find a different path in life.
A reconciliation route like this would of course be shorter than what we already have, but still a better option to leave a big decision like this for the players to make, instead of having to deal with all the fuckery, nagging and constant arguing for the sake of trying to throw a lil bit of realism in their example.
I, on the other hand, still have a lot of obvious reasons to think the writer did and keeps doing Veronica dirty, fuck knows why, and instead of making the fans like her more on her romance or cuckquean path, he doubles down on her annoying and exaggerated clinginess, jealousy and possessiveness in every update as if intentionally wanting them to hate her even more than they already do.
It don't make any sense to my why he'd do this to an LI, unless we'll eventually find out she's bipolar or something for the sake of adding more drama where it's not needed, but it sure shows great results... Veronica haters are having a blast trolling and figuratively beating on her like she was a glorified pinata with a big booty and big tits.
I know she's supposed to be a very caring, sweet and loving albeit very jealous and possessive latina too type of LI, but ffs, when a guy's lil daughter's life is hanging by a thread, a stupid romance and a latina milf version of a teenage girl jealous outbursts are the last things he needs to worry about, and as a reasonable human being and supposedly smart, respected academic, she should know this. I agree with both points of view, this is a porn game and if you wish by choices it isn't (can't really remember if there is any porn/sex scene forced on us though, my memory sucks haha). The plot/story about a divorcee that goes racing/work hard on his project to save his daughter. This visual novel probably can be also enjoyable for those that prefer to skip or not to see the very adult/porn elements of it. Well myself first came for the porn and usually I stay in the games if the other elements of it are good enough too and that is the case of Race of Life, enjoyable story overall and gameplay.

Welcome and I must say I like your taste of games too. About the updates I guess the span between them get a bit larger as the story branches more, for example episode 3 were cut in two parts while 1st and 2nd were full releases (I'm here since the start of episode 3 though so take it with a grain of salt). Gap between 1st and last update is 25 months more and less and there was 3 bigger updates since then so around 8 months average, guess it is a good estimate. About dev logs no idea how often, maybe someone can tell you.
Edit: Just checked the date of my first save, 5th June last year.

QFT! She's one of the more real characters in the game. You can tell the author has someone in mind when writing her part. Now that we have a possible cucking path opening up, who knows? The cheating Veronica path could become something more depraved, especially for the personality- playthrough.
