Just curious did anyone else dislike Maggie's lewd scene. For me I thought it was too porny and felt super random even tho it was a fun scene. It kind of took me out of the game made me think I was playing a Porn AVN instead of a story and character focused one for a minute

the scene itself is whatever, wasn't too bad. But it's totally out of character for her, that's what bothers me.

It was...weird. It didn't fit her character. To me, throughout the game up to that point she had come off as the more conservative "wifey" type that I generally go for (and that I like IRL as well - I prefer prudish, conservative, trustworthy women in a general sense for relationships) and I still like her, but it was a strange scene that felt out of place. When I filled out the feedback bit at the end of the chapter, I had mentioned that it was strange - her and the MC hadn't even kissed yet IIRC, and she goes right from a massage to a weird BDSM style blowjob...it's just odd.

Now I will say I'd be totally cool if things had developed more vanilla initially and then later she disclosed some of her kinks to the MC - everyone has them, and that's cool. I think it would have been kinda hot if, after they'd been intimate for some time in-game she was like "Hey MC, I'd kinda like to experiment a little...what would you think of me tying you to the bed for some fun? Or maybe you could start putting me in a chastity belt and controlling my access to pleasure moving forward?"

The more experimental stuff can come later once the two people are intimate and have established a more solid relationship. That's always been my relationship process with women and has worked well - establish the normal intimate chemistry first and once that works well, you can start looking into anal, having her wear outfits for you, etc.

Yeah Maggie's scene was disappointing. Restraining a partner without prior consent is such a bad practice and a major red flag even in the bdsm community... aka how to tell a dev has no irl experience in those matters without asking.

I don't think that's uncharacteristic, though. MC can get his dick sucked by Natalya two minutes after meeting her for the first time, which is a total whiplash moment, because it's almost right after Lily's accident and everyone is all depressed.

Tho Maggie still doesn't hold a candle to Allison and Jasmine for me right now. Tho I do think I might like Maggie more than Jasmine in the future as right now Jasmine seems like she isn't really a LI to keep around but someone to have casual fun with. While I think Allison and maybe Maggie depending on how future updates for her pan out worth a romantic relationship.

I am not sure if there is that scene if MC was cold towards her but I played the nice guy path and I think it felt there was good enough built up tbh. Even after restaurant scene was good, though she is feeling sad prevented it. So, it was not out of place for me or how it happened out of character for her. Though, I do understand why you guys feel that way.

Ah, now I get it. You need to divide that scene into 2 pieces. Bj part and tying part. Tying part comes from her vulnerability and fear of men. She is broken and unless she has the feeling she is secure, she is not going to do anything. Other part was bj, their relationship reached to that point in my opinion. I think what might have helped there is if they'd had some kissing or some such leading up to it. I don't remember them really kissing though (correct me if I'm wrong). I think it was the transition of the scene to something so edgy as their first sexual encounter that was what was jarring for people.

I'll also add here I think you're probably right about the security bit with Maggie - no doubt that plays into it.

She kissed him in Episode 2, just the day after the Party. It was just a way to thank him tho.

for the MC sure but I do think it's out of character for Maggie personally as it kind of felt like it came out of no where to me. Now that doesn't mean I don't think it shouldn't of happen cause clearly Maggie was wanting to be with the MC since the restaurant . So the romantic feelings was there from before. What was missing for me was some kind of romantic conversation , kissing something that would make sense for the scene to happen. As I felt like it just kind of just happened for no real reason other to add a lewd scene with the way it did happen. It lacks any real build up

What I'm trying to say is that the game is just like that and not only in Maggie's case. Like, there's no meaningful difference between the canon sex scenes and the bonus gallery.
I don't think the MC is supposed to be the archetype for romantic conversations. The game is more like an action movie than a romantic comedy and more like an adventure than a dating sim.
