There's speculation and then there is straight up delusion.

No one is speculating that Bates is Jake's dad. The story doesn't talk about Jake's parents at all so there's a possibility, however remote, that Bates will be revealed as his dad in a later update. No one talks about this though, because despite the fact we can speculate, it's absurd.

Instead, it's easier to just invent scenarios that speculate Allison could be unfaithful because it will somehow justify Jake's actions. She's a workaholic, not a cheater. They used to be good together, got absorbed in their careers and she stopped paying attention to the marriage, causing him to seek comfort elsewhere. That's all there is to it.

Never mind the fact Jake is petty enough to use it as ammunition if he knew. Well that didn't happen so now Allison is smart enough to keep the affair secret to justify Jake not knowing. Wait if she's smart enough to hide an affair, why was she with Jake in the first place? Oh Lily of course, it was a marriage of convenience forced by Allison's parents, a shotgun wedding if you will. Her dad? Bates of course, to add another layer of animosity between him and Jake.
