I mean of course id want one eventually but I dont need one either as I already like her character enough to put her in my top 5 LI list without one. I see lewds as the least important thing to an AVN and treat them as a nice bonus.

The more I play these things, my tastes have changed. I used to be all about good stories and cared little about the renders even lewd scenes.

Now, I'm at a point that I've seen so many VNs with outdated daz models, bad posing, little to no visual improvements, and the same boring ass stock sex animations, that even if the story is decent, bad or lazy visuals just ruin it for me. I'm really at a point that high quality renders and (preferably custom) visually stunning girls are becoming more and more the most appealing thing for me. To use another VN as an example: Lessons in Loyalty. I couldn't give a fuck less about the story but holy fuck are the girls hot. Not the best VN overall, but the cake is enough for me to come back every update..

Besides that, I like good characters that I can give a shit about, good romances and character relationships, and enjoyable character interactions. At this point for me, the storyline can be shit but as long as it gets the characters together then it's done it's job as far as I'm concerned.

If a VN has all that and has a decent story, then it's top tier for me. That's why I like Race of Life. It checks all the boxes for me. Good characters, great polish, and hot girls and lewds. So RoL is easily in the convo with some of the best VNs imo.

Even if it's a good story but has shit characters probably would make it hard for me to like still tbh. Kind of why I say to me characters building is the most important aspect. I'm personally more into these games for eroticism, and same as you enjoy high quality custom characters, and quality animations aswell. I like when there is a story, and when I first started that was what got me into them. But for me there is a good balance, and sometimes slow burn as there called goes too far. If I wanted just good characters and story, I would watch movies, or play a non lewd game. these are porn to me at the end of the day. also yes, so many VN's out there that is just rinse and repeat

It Is because good characters can make me feel things I normally don't , I just get more invested into a story or their growth. No game or movie has been able to capture that within me or not very many do while alot of AVN do.

That and I can get more invested and into a character like Allie or Jasmine much easier than a movie. Also to use ROL as an example there is alot of personal interpretation that goes into how we read a scenario in a AVN. Nothing makes me ever really think about a character deeply like that other than these games.

Here is an example that come to mind to me. On the love path for Allie at the end of the date when the MC stays the night and he leaves. That scene said to me Allie was excited to see the MC in the morning, then sad when he wasn't there but happy when she read the note like she wanted to give him another chance. Not everyone would see the scene the same way as me especially if they are only playing her path for content and dislike her. No movie, tv show or game has managed to capture that for me.

great AVNs go much further and deeper into characters, relationships and feelings than other media.
i'm not even interested in the sex scenes, except if they actually enhance the characters and are part of the story.

The dev already confirmed that he is working on it while beta testing is going on. I really don't get the general overreaction about this.

As we've mentioned before, one of the big feedback points we've had was that it was too long between updates. We hear you, and we've made the choice to release episode 3 in two parts. The script for part one is done, with a few edits to take into account the feedback we've received. Part two will be finished soon. It'll be a smaller update than episode 2, but still bigger than episode 1, so there'll be a little bit less playtime, but a lot less waiting time too.

Just wait until the tacho has the green up arrow on it, then select the correct gear. From memory, it goes 1-2-3-4-5, then the text will tell you to shift down to 2, so you go to 3, 4 5. If you get it wrong, you can always scroll back.
