Yes, because at a certain point, his PC done gave up the ghost, and he lost practically all of it. So part 5, which was supposed to the minotaur, became a dream what-if that now leads into his next project, Amazonian Mist.Is it correct he only made parts 1 to 4 into a consistent story? I can't seem to find parts 5 to 8 anywhere.
Really sucks when the Subscriber Money is just short of a backup SystemYes, because at a certain point, his PC done gave up the ghost, and he lost practically all of it. So part 5, which was supposed to the minotaur, became a dream what-if that now leads into his next project, Amazonian Mist.

A company would regularly do backups. Not exactly fair to expect an individual to do the samePeople just don't give a shit about back-ups, until they lose everything that is. IDK why but it's almost a universal amongst the non-PC savvy, they got to learn it the hard way.
Eh yeah it is fair. Especially f it's part of your work.A company would regularly do backups. Not exactly fair to expect an individual to do the same
I could name several artists with very popular patreons that all haven't done it. Its not something you think about until it happens. Its not health insuranceEh yeah it is fair. Especially f it's part of your work.
I guess like said above, some people need to learn the hard way.
Well people should start treating it as suchI could name several artists with very popular patreons that all haven't done it. Its not something you think about until it happens. Its not health insurance
Oh come one man, stop the cap!A company would regularly do backups. Not exactly fair to expect an individual to do the same
Well damn. I liked the animation while playing the breast, tbh.mostly!
Its easier to look at someone's else decisions in hindsight and say 'well obviously should've done ___'Oh come one man, stop the cap!
Of course it's "fair" to expect individuals, in this case ones who make money with their content, to do regular backups!
It's not just "fair", it's to be expected.
If and artists makes x amount of money a certain percentage of that should go towards backup solutions.
It should involve both, some external (preferable automated) hdd backup + some automated cloud bases backup solution.
Everyone who's been on this Forum can name a bunch of big 3dx-artist who have previously made use of the "oh no my hdd/ssd bro and my data is gone" excuse.
It's unfortunately common practice in this line of work.
However this definitely shouldn't be the case.
Please stop making excuses for lazy, negligent and careless artists.
Remember, the more you tolerate this kind of behavior the more you'll see them indulge in it.![]()
Come on... you're being to kind to laziness or lying. I find it hard to believe that any artist or creative of any kind that doesn't know the importance of ritual or set-it-and-forget-it backups. They can even put a price tag on the files if they are lost, something that a lot of private individuals just wave off as whatever. I think he's lying and just wants a break and is afraid to say it.Its easier to look at someone's else decisions in hindsight and say 'well obviously should've done ___'
He lost some of his renders not files and mentioned buying equipment before the next large project.Come on... you're being to kind to laziness or lying. if they were new to the scene and this was the first 2-3 months of them doing this, then i would actually agree with this, but they've been at this how many years now?? and there's been how many posts from other creators mentioning lost files/renders, data corruption, sick nanna etc all the usual excuses, reasons and whatevers that something is gonna take that bit longer now.Its easier to look at someone's else decisions in hindsight and say 'well obviously should've done ___'
So you’re under the impression there’s a shared network of excuses from artists who’ve likely never spoken to each other or read their pirated content threads?if they were new to the scene and this was the first 2-3 months of them doing this, then i would actually agree with this, but they've been at this how many years now?? and there's been how many posts from other creators mentioning lost files/renders, data corruption, sick nanna etc all the usual excuses, reasons and whatevers that something is gonna take that bit longer now.
