Man, It only takes you 5 chapters to build it up toward the plot that "MC's power is the power of love". Ginga helped MC only twice. It's not that many. You don't need all the memories to defeat Karen, they just increase your stats after Karen applies debuff.
You are exaggerating and overreacting.
"You need the power of love" kind of common bs in these games to explain the power nature. In games it varies from love or lust to light or darkness. It's all pretty much irrelevant on big scales.
And that lewd event don't block you from opening a new area.
Game is far from being perfect in terms of H-content, but, atleast it's a game.

When you first enter, if you go down instead of up, you'll see a room at the bottom right where the switch for that door should be.
