Now that's a good question...if Dammed doesn't do the writing anymore he really has nothing to do with the game...
I mean, 4 months would be a reasonable timeframe for the updates they deliver....and yes, it happened once, that was as Alorth said he would quit if Dammed doesn't get his shit together for that update.
closer to 9 month on the avarage...but man, the last 5 years he had things going on in his life, not sure what, but sure

Yeah the first 4 updates don't count guys. So it's only the next one which is delayed. I believe 110% that he will release the one after next in 4 months, he never lied or bullshitted. And remember guys, no more distraction and chapter 10 by the end of 2024
He will code, that's to say copy-pasting the dialogues in renpy and adding the lines to display the images
