Again, this falls squarely on both devs shoulders. People raging about one dudes politics doesn't change the fact that Alorth is just as guilty in all of this and has only ever used idle threats to placate people. Dudes got two games he's actively working on publicly, plus contracting out to who knows how many others. Maybe he should go back to hiring more Korean devs.
Anything can carry AVN's. I've seen some dog shit looking games in many peoples top 10s. I've seen horrible writing in those same lists and others. I've seen people absolutely praising some of the ugliest character models I've ever seen all bc, apparently, they love horrible attempts at 3D anime stylized visuals that look straight out of the end of the ps1/beginning of the ps2 era. Games like WVM, where after you get out of the first 2-3 updates goes to complete shit and loses the plot while the models apparently had their internal organs sucked out and injected into their asses and boobs. Yet you do tend to see, with only rare exceptions (DPC/Ocean), that those who update most frequently are easily the most financially successful.
There have been several devs in the last couple weeks that have pumped out 2-3 games each that are each 3-5min long, all with Patreons already set up. It probably took them as many days as games they released to put all that together, and you can guaranty there will never be updates. And some people are praising and supporting them.
People are stupid. Don't be one of those people. Refuse to give devs money when they pull shit like this until they can start delivering in a timely manner. If they don't, there are plenty of devs popping up that ARE delivering on games that most people don't even know about.
