It might not be marketable (in mainstream) but there is an audience who pays well if the game is good. I think it's part of this game's initial "success"

I see that Alorth is so hated here that a good portion of the latest posts are about his personal game! Meanwhile, I have heard from reliable sources (a cat told me) that the reason for the delayed release of Radiant is that Alorth has been rendering all the images for Radiant with nekololi! He even paused the release of his game to introduce more of these neko. And now poor SirD has to scramble the ears and tails in Photoshop! That explains his latest post, where he says he's not happy with the work he's done - and you're trying to manually remove something from an image without a blemish! While Alorth spreads ridiculous rumours about Twitter mess...
now i'm wondering....... who's really the one smoking the meth.......

Hello again everyone, I'll get right down to it.
As you can clearly see, Chapter 7 is taking a bit longer to wrap up. This mostly comes down to two major reasons...
(1) When I concluded testing, there were two big scenes that I just really wasn't happy with. While it wasn't an easy decision, I decided to completely rewrite the scripts for both scenes. These scripts can often take weeks to complete, especially when I end up needing additional renders for them due to the changes. This also sets back official testing.
(2) The holidays. As I'm sure you guys can guess, the holidays can often further complicate things and cause them to take even longer.
All of that being said, Alorth and I have spoken and agreed that we'll have this chapter completed by the month end, so you won't be waiting too much longer for it. That being said, I do apologize for making you guys wait so long. I also apologize for not filling you guys in on this setback sooner: I honestly wasn't sure how long it would take to wrap things up and I wanted to be absolutely certain that no further delays or issues would come up before posting. To prevent such confusion and uncertainty from arising again in the future, I've decided to add a new edition to the progress tracker: this will be rolled out when we start tracking progress for Chapter 8.
We are still committed to getting each chapter done in four months or less: while it's unfortunate that we will sometimes encounter issues that throw a wrench in those plans, I am doing everything I can to ensure that doesn't become "the norm," and I hope we can demonstrate that to you guys with Chapter 8, which we will complete by the end of May.
I love you guys, and I hope you all had an amazing holiday with your family and loved ones. Keep your eyes open for the exclusive wallpapers, I'll be posting quite a few of them tonight."
I really don't think chapter 8 will come out before June, but the worst that could happen is A. it comes out later than expected. Or B. Radiant gets cancelled. Anyways was just throwing in my two cents!
Also since I get the update 8 days early (If it hasn't already been posted) I will post it on here for you lovely folks!! (maybe tee-hee)

Oh, come on. How can you not believe these honest people? So what if they delayed the release once or twice, so what, now they will keep their promise. Now they've written it in plain text - it's either delay or cancel, so they'll do one of those things, that's for sure.

this game been in development for 5 years and the game hasnt gotten anywhere.

What happens is that, as I said in another thread, many people have money to spare, which is not my case.

Don't count on any even remotely specific answer. Even the dev himself doesn't know this. From case to case. And these cases have been increasing recently.

Seriously? I was always sure Alorth was Czech and SirD was American, but it turns out he was. But I assure you, North Koreans are not evil, they are the nicest people in the world, just look at the smiling Kim!
This has soon to be abandoned written all over it. It’s a shame.
