I read your review, and though I agree that the story had potential, I just could not give it high marks anywhere. Even the scenes where the MC was supposed to be done was so poor, that it came off rushed and not thought through to me.

I can understand that. It was satisfying enough for me but I understand it's not for everyone. It was difficult to judge since the overall game is so short.

Basically what it is for me is it will most likely be a "guilty pleasure" down the road, where you check it from time to time and then forget about it in between.

Wape.. you made the smart choices. You're flying low with "worse" stuff in the game compared to this one. But also, you did make it a challenge and enjoyable to play even for those who don't like the theme. IMHO, Rape Day should have kept a lower profile, sought alternate funding sources, and slowly improved his art. If he would have done so, this might have had a better chance later on down the road.

Yeah but "mainstream media outlets" fueling an outrage machine and kicking it every time it airs?
This game started out by kicking a hornet's nest and even with better art and storyline, it has few defenders and multiple detractors. It's like starting a battle for money as a small company of 10 employees fighting a direct competitor with 5000 employees and a near unlimited bankroll with the laws behind the larger company. You'd get better odds building up your company first to become stronger before attracting that kind of attention. That's my perspective on this.

Rape Day, you need to get some fans now. And get that art cleaned up, listen to the fans to improve the game. Don't keep flirting with controversy. Focus on hardcore fans and polishing up the works. Only then, in my opinion, would you stand a chance of long term profit.
