So let me get this straight: the updates were already some of the smallest I’ve ever seen in any VN, and now they’re going to be even shorter.

All of that… for a sandbox. Of course. Because nothing screams “great idea” like turning a VN into a time-wasting sandbox.

I actually liked this game, which makes this even more painful. I used to check it every 4–5 updates. Now? Guess I’ll come back in 10–20 updates and see if there’s still an actual story left.

Honestly disappointing.

I'm also not a fan of name saving.
There are some arguments about this issue in these threads:

I conclude a modder can't handle it, only the avn dev.
In other words, something that only RedStarStudios can do.
There are some avns with the option to disable or enable the save naming, but they are rare... But it should be mandatory.

Having a small sandbox/freeroam section isn't unheard of in games. However if it's going full sandbox/freeroam after 5 years of development, then that's a bold move.

I really like this game but if it turns into a sandbox/freeroam I'm out. I have no idea why people think sandbox/freeroam is a good idea it's such a waste of time and kills the flow of the game.

The update that adds sandbox in this game is the update that I abandon the game and never look back. If your game survived just fine on this website all these years without having garbage mechanics, then you have zero reason to add them after 5-6 years just so you can justify releasing a pitiful amount of renders yet keep the "update" 1 hour long with back and forths between places and finding characters and other shit.
