Been having a fair bit of fun with this and largely agree with the above sentiments.

However one thing that's gotten me thus far is that you can't seem to rescue the huntress from the centaurs. Which really rather feels like a good idea for a merciful dragon.
Exactly! I wanted to save her too, it didn't sit right with me and my "merciful" dragon to just watch or leave... Would be pretty sweet if there was multiple times you can save her... then she joins you lol.

Game seems fun and well written so far. I'm curious about the bestiality though? Are you considering adragon to be the animal so any sex with a human is bestiality the tag refers to or are there non humans you can dragon-bang?

@4MW Ok after playing the game there's something you need to seriously reconsider, actually 2, and both have to do with your artist/artists. First of all 4 of the 11 scenes that are currently in the game have the extremely similar posing with one more being close as well

All five of these scenes are unsatisfying as you cant actually see whats happening in any of them. Just think about it for a second, almost half of the art in your game features women in the same pose. I just can get over that. Please tell your artist/artists to be more creative. Alternatively a way you could fix this is to add a second window showing the penetration, and this could be reused for all five scenes. Or if you want to go all the way you could add a behind CG for all of them, but that would be time consuming and expensive, would make it a lot better though.

Next is the fact that these "scenes" are only one CG. I have a suspicion that this has to do with you agreement with the artist that you mentioned with the blurry CG's, and that all these scenes are actual proper scenes with multiple CG's. If its not though, RIP I guess. Its a lot easier to turn 1 Scene into a Scene with 5 CG's, then it is to draw 2 Scenes with 1 CG, and its also a lot more satisfying to the player.

Oh also in the wolfgirl scene where shes getting gangbanged, the dick shes blowing looks more like a red Christmas tree, then a canine penis.

Apart from me apparently just hating your artist I really like the plot and flow of the story. Seeing a Dragon as a MC (If only it was a Worgen) is something I'm really happy to see made.

This is really good stuff, thank you! Being able to get concrit and ideas for new directions is a big motivator for sharing the concept release. I agree that Chapter 1 wants some rework - it was the first stuff I did, and my technique has improved since.

I like the specialisation concept, and I've got an idea how to incorporate it - which also means adding a stat that is boosted by sexual experience.

Time to learn proper UI code!

This is a really good idea, and spins out some new possibilities for the endgame. I'll add it in (gated behind a strength or charm check, depending on how you approach it).

So is the Beast tag only here because you play as a dragon? If so that's pretty disappointing.
There's a little beast content, and more to come later. However, I should stress that I don't pick the tags.

It felt really odd to me that there is a system for being merciful, but you couldn't save her, So I'm glad to hear your listening to our ideas ^-^

It's a pretty nice start so far, I really like the concept of playing as something other than a human. There aren't enough games like that. I've got a few observation/suggestions that you might be worth consideration going forwards.
  • At the beginning with the maid, it might be interesting to add an option between ignoring her in favour of the food, and trying to force yourself on her; maybe getting curious and sniffing at her or licking her.
  • The sex scenes all seem to be of the rapey variety, indeed playing with the rape option turned off it doesn't seem like an erotic game at all.
  • There don't seem to be many options for increasing strength if you would rather fuck the women than eat them.
  • Navigation by a menu of choices isn't a great way of doing it; I'd strongly recommend looking into how to do clickable maps.

Rape is a genre in porn and genres are used for different preferences. In my opinion rape does fit better into the theme, so I disagree with you. Many are scared of dragons in this game, with exceptions like goblins and the girl who leads you to the spire, so I don't see many possibilities to go around rape.

There are several ways for games to make a system where a character needs to level up in some way. I don't know how much strength and other stats you'll need, but I agree that it could be a problem for players who prefer porn content.

I disagree with the map, at least partly. I think it is good that choices are made in the classical style. The map could be good for orientation sometimes, but it needs more effort to do so. Simple choices are easily implemented, with a simple background, but map orientation would need a specific background and areas that represent that place/direction. Additionally choices are always made, but the ones for directions are different from those.

Text options are fine in a primarily text game, a map seems like more work than it's worth.

Stats can be an interesting way of giving players agency over the character and feeling like their experience is unique. Labeling options with the stat requirement so players know when they qualify for things, or greying out options (but still displaying them) when the stats are meant are good ways of letting the player know how often stats are important.

If you don't label the stats in the choices that will better enable a player to have discovery moments where they revisit a scene they saw before but this time they have enough charisma and have new options, and that can be exciting. On the other hand, IMO, players can be lead into feeling stats don't matter if they just play through the game once or twice and don't revisit content because hiding the numbers/options means htey might never notice the checks at all.

That said

The problem with gaining stats as you go, as opposed to just picking stats at the start like you might in old school Fallout, is that the player isn't faced with a character customization option, but a puzzle to figure out which route will get them enough strength, charisma, and willpower by X point in the story, to do the things they want.

For instance if a player wants to have high charisma they have to first figure out, through trial and error, which options will lead to charisma and when those options get locked out by other options or time restrictions. It's a barrier to a player actually getting what they want and it's not particularly fun to do since typically it involves alot of reloading.

It becomes very simliar to some of those old CYOA books that only had a single way to actually win the game. Players might be forced to pick options they don't want to pick or see scenes they don't want just because there are stat boosts attached and they want to see some other scene later that requires certain stats.

A potential solution;

If you allow people to add to their own stats at the end of each chapter and have certain events reward them with extra character growth, in like a general sense, you can still reward people stat points but not limit the choices they make as much. Like say any event that adds a stat now instead just adds a general 'growth' point and the player can spend those at the end of the chapter on whatever stats they want. Or maybe divide it into categories like 'body' 'mind' 'lust' or something for stats so that body might be strength and dex and mind is charisma and willpower or whatever.

If you combined that with listing all the options available at each choice with the stats in there, e.g. 'Attack the guards (stregth:6)', with greyed out options so the player can see what they could have done if they had make different choices in their next playthrough, it could be more engaging.

disclaimer; not that the game is bad or anything now, I'm just spitballing

Seems really cool. Though, I would like a better description of your character. I couldn't tell whether I was a dragonkin with a human like body, but dragon parts, or whether I was a small 4 legged dragon.

Also, as others have pointed out, it would be nice to be able to save the huntress from the centaurs. It would be cool to save her multiple times, then, when she is cast out or attacked for not being able to kill your main character, she gets to experience what it's like to be hunted, so she goes to you for help, with a newly acquired respect.

It might be interesting to be able to "save" her from them just to take their place if you are on the evil route, and if you do that multiple times, when she is cast out, she just goes to you because shes broken and you're strong.

Anyway, seems really interesting and unique. Hope to see more soon.

Thank you for the feedback, folks! I'll try to cover points together rather than responding separately.

Themes: the game *does* have a heavy noncon bias, and that's likely to remain. But that doesn't mean there won't be potential for romance (with people who are into dragons, like the fangirl), corruption (with closet pervs like the abbess), flipped primacy (with might-makes-right characters like the wolfgirl), stockholm syndrome, etc. The lair & kidnap mechanics I'm writing now give a lot of scope for different paths of interactions.

Stats: the intention with stats is that they'll naturally reflect your playstyle, but they need more tweaking for that to work. I'm adding an Appetite stat, so characters that do more violence/talking/fuckin' will be better at things that depend on those. Mercy and Cruelty are slow, cumulative burns that are much more important later in the game. I don't want to shake things up too much just yet, but I think labeling menu choices that test you is a good idea and I'll include it in the first patch.

Huntress: I'm adding new options to the scene now, which initiate one of four different arcs with her - you'll be able to see the results in the revamped Chapter 3 Interlude. I don't want to give too much away, but we are thinking along similar lines for some of them :)

It's a different game ill give you that, but just a tip* don't call 1.0 when it's not finished or even close to refer to it a chapter instead since you're using the ren'py and most of it's vanila features without anything special coded in.

Those are just goblins. Anyone now that sees kobold expects a small lizard creature or some dog-thing (if they're Japanese). If you're going to that all fairies and elves should just be goblins. Kobolds are by far my favorite thing and seeing that green thing is just disappointing.

I hear you! I've been writing/coding for a few months, and wanted to drop something into the pool for a bit of a morale boost and/or find potential contributors. It's lonely work making smut by yourself *hand on forehead*

Thank you for your kind words! And those are fair criticisms - I'm not much of a smut writer (this is my first major writing and coding project), and it's taking me a while to find my groove. If anyone would like to suggest additions or improvements to scenes, I'm very happy to code them in.

I don't have time to draw on top of everything else, but I'm in collaboration with an artist now, and I hope to have a new visual design in place soon.



This is a really cool idea, and I'll give a think about how to implement it!
