She never actually falls in love at any point; she simply uses you as her reason to keep going. Maelys is deeply traumatized and doesn’t feel she has any reason to exist without a clear purpose, before, that purpose was killing us; now, it’s serving us. Because of that, you have to always refuse to have sex with her, every single time, even when she insists. If you give in, she completely breaks down and becomes catatonic. That said, I don’t rule out the possibility that one day she might genuinely come to care for the dragon, but that hasn’t happened yet.
