In the Ravager setting, kobolds are all male, so I worked around that to provide a trap waifu for those who are into that sort of thing. I don't know how many of our players are in it for the female kobold action, but there's still scope for me to add it via one of the Dreamweaver sequences.
LOL Let me get this right, instead of just tweaking the lore, or adding a female goblin or something, you thought it was a good idea to add a TRAP for people who don't like MxM content? Are you actually joking? That's not a real conclusion anyone would come to. Literally all that means for people that don't like MxM and like green ladies is double the content they don't like. That actually blows my mind. If somehow your definition of trap doesn't include a penis and a vagina instead then I guess I can understand, but otherwise this is ridiculous.

Whatever the game seems to be becoming a gay game, my words are wasted.

I'm sorry you don't like that content, fella, but I've been telegraphing it since the v1.7 patch notes and I didn't know about your particular preferences until today. A goblin girl is a cool idea; I might add one later on.

Yeah after 20 more Kobold dudes. Lets be real, you could care less. I wish you would have been upfront at the beginning that this was a gay focused game instead of changing the focus midway.

Okay, that seems unfair to 4MW. Not only did 4MW clearly state in the changelog for 1.7V that there would be trap content. They even said that if you don't like that sort of thing you can turn off the tag in the preferences menu and avoid it entirely.

I have to say that I don't like all the tags in the game as my personal preference is to avoid any game with NTR in it, but I'm really grateful to 4MW because I can turn that tag off and enjoy this game while another person who DOES like NTR can enable that tag and enjoy that content to the fullest. The same applies for the Gay tag. If you don't like it turn it off. Those who do can turn it on and enjoy it.

I personally am going to try the Gay content out because why not, but hey, I may dislike it to the point of turning off the Gay tag and if I do more power to me. I think that 4MW actually allowing people to pick and choose what tags they want is one of the greatest ideas for a VN as it allows anyone to come in and customize their experience for what they want. Thank you! That was certainly my intent. When you're producing niche/extreme content, you're always on tricky ground: some of the stuff you make will be absolutely someone's jam, while being a massive turn-off to somebody else. Managing the content via flags seems a sensible way to resolve that! The idea wasn't mine (I was inspired by Fetish Academy, amongst others), but hopefully it's implemented well enough in Ravager.

Anyone concerned with the direction of the game will be pleased to hear that there will be five more female waifus in v2.1.

You literally already have a male kobold that we are already stuck with, why would you make another one male and not a female instead? Do you not care about the majority of your players?
Why don't you put the stuff that I like

Ok. I did my first quick play session of the new version. Looks like more of the same good stuff so far.

A few questions/bug reports:

I can't interact with the farmgirl after abducting her. It throws an exception after the initial lead up text to the encounter but before her menu shows up:

Merchant: After fucking her in the mercenary camp and bringing her back she wasn't available under captives. Is she not implemented or is that a bug?

Playing with the old style characters when the huntress shows up has her switching to her underwear bust for a few of her dialog lines.
Also unrelated but funny: When she first shows up her head appeared directly behind the kobold. It was confused because I thought the kobold had grown hair for a second o_O :D

Is the torture chamber usable already? I couldn't find a way to access it.

Dev Notes

  • It’s here! To keep the update cycle regular, I’ve batched up Chapter 3 into multiple releases, in the same way I did Chapter 2. This initial version includes a taste of everything, but it’s by no means the finished article. I’ll be adding more plot, more waifus, more scenes, more hordes, and more events as v2.x develops.
  • I recommend keeping a save file at the start of Chapter 3, so you can go back later when new content has been added.
  • Compatible with save files from v1.4 and newer.
Features
  • Story extended up to, but not including, the finale of Chapter 3.
  • The abbess, drunk, fangirl, farmgirl, merchant, and wolfgirl can now be captured once you have a lair.
  • Mini captive interactions have been added. These will be expanded significantly later on.
  • Issa, the kobold trap waifu, can be encountered.
  • The wolf tribe can now be recruited.
  • You can now gift captives to your hordes to increase their morale. Morale will be important!
  • A unique faction has been added to each different lair. They seed unique quests, which will be able to be completed in the next update.
  • You can now build features in your lair.
  • Voice acting has been added for the drunk, Warlock Malagar, and the Infernal.
  • Vira’s character art has been added for the palace guards, fangirl, farmgirl, and drunk.
  • Amon Ra’s character animations have been added for Regent Balthorne and the palace guards.
  • DP’s scene art has been added for the fangirl’s first night, plus a variant for captive interactions.
  • An orchestral variant of the dragonsong has been added to the main menu, which will be activated after reaching the end of Chapter 3.
  • Voice acting has been added for the dragon. It can be disabled or adjusted in the Preferences menu.
Tweaks
  • A ‘dragon voice’ toggle and slider has been added to the Preferences menu.
  • If the dragon voice is toggled on, game flow will pause to allow its lines to play.
  • The announcement line for evolution powers has been temporarily disabled, until I have the chance to integrate them fully.
  • Bukkake framework extended to the drunk, fangirl, and farmgirl.
  • Direction has been improved for the regent’s scenes.
  • Direction has been improved for the drunk’s first scene.
  • The farmgirl is a little more expressive.
  • You can now go direct to the mine after receiving instructions or escort from the merchant.
Fixes
  • Resolved yet another missing sprite for Maelys.
  • Fixed a capture option erroneously appearing in Chapter 2.
  • Corrected sprite placement during a wolfgirl scene.
  • Corrected content flags for returning to the farmgirl.
  • Fixed redirect after returning to Bastion prematurely.
  • Occasional typo and grammar fixes.
  • And fixed (hopefully) all of the many, many bugs found by our wonderful testers in the alpha and beta versions.

N.B : I encountered a bug with the farmgirl, it only happen if I charm her to follow me to my lair (which is the spire btw, don't know if it matters), no problem when abducting her ; it is just an uninitialized boolean. EDIT : Oh it seems somebody else reported it too while I was writing...

Hey @4MW, once the game is finished do you have any plans to release it on steam?
I have no plans! It's always possible that Steam will adjust its policies further by the time Ravager is entirely complete (about a year, I think), and I can always crop the content flags. Is there any benefit to doing so?

chill dude, its just one facet of a game filled almost to the brim with females. There is nothing wrong with giving a few carrots to those that fancy that sort of thing

I can attest that not all your fans will get upset about some Kobold eye candy, and while im not personally into traps it sure is nice to have some variety. Don't let one very vocal dissenter get to ya. Cheers!

4MW I really like the game, and I'm wondering :
- Will we be able to get allies from a lair we didn't choose ?
- Will we be able to unlock alternative sex scenes ? (for example, the fangirl has two almost identical scenes, depending on her consort/prisonner status : one is clothed (consort), the other is naked (prisonner) ; could we have both or each one will be locked to a path ?)

Btw, I found another bug unexpected behavior surprise mechanism little Easter Egg.
Nothing terrible, doesn't even lead to a crash, but the aforementioned scene, in its naked version, ends with clothes back on for the last cg.

This game has become one my most anticipated game in here, keep up the good work !
PS : I really like the dragon voice/roar.
