How much art can we expect?
Plenty :)

The biggest annoyance i found with the action economy was that if you claimed your lair without using up almost all of your moves before going into the next stage, you didnt seem to get credited those extra moves. This would in fact penalize the amount of total moves, thus content, you get per play through.
Days remaining are already carried over between Chapters; in the next version, I'm also removing the penalty for moving between regions.

Unrelated to my previous post, are there any plans to add more options with the existing captives?
Yes, absolutely, and you'll see the first of these in the next version. My dev plan is to get as much of the framework out, as quickly as possible - and then use that as a platform to build up extra content and detail.

It's been quite a big undertaking, but it has just released in beta - patrons can give it a go now. I'll post the main release here when it's ready.

If i understand this list of upcoming content, is this all still up to the existing timeline, i.e. when the hunter attacks our lair, fleshing out and adding to the existing timeline, but not progressing it quite yet?

Also, if that is the case, how much more fleshing out of the existing timeline updates do you have planned before progressing the plot?

Just curious for expectations.

Either way, glad to hear the update is around the corner!

That is correct! I'd like to get the remaining hordes and waifus in place before I move to Chapter 4, which moves away from the free roam to the conquest of the realm, and starts the build toward the conclusion of the game. Judging from the dev plan, this will be somewhere between three and five minor versions away (but they will all be very high-content releases).

One of the best contradictions I've ever heard of.
Ha! Yes - major versions (1.0, 2.0, 3.0) add new Chapters, while minor versions (2.1, 2.2, 2.3) add new content in those Chapters. Because I keep the updates regular, and time coding a framework is time not spent coding content, the minor versions will usually have more new content in them than the major ones.

I do hope we get the Huntress as a waifu sometime in the future, would be pretty nice if she could be swayed with high charm + saving her from the centaurs to join you or something, or at the very least get to keep her as a capture and such.

Eitherway, guess I have something to look forward towards this sunday, or soon if it doesn't release then.

Seeing how the last update ended on a confrontation with the huntress I would guess that as soon as the plot moves forward we should have the option to make her a waifu.

  • The peasant from Chapter 1 has a set of placeholder images.
  • Improved stage direction for Naho’s and Marie-Anne’s sequences.
  • Tweaked volume of mercenary’s lines for the Marie-Anne encounter.
Fixes
  • The merchant will no longer reappear after eating her during your initial encounter (damn phoenix downs).
  • The drunk, likewise, is less prone to resurrection.
  • You can no longer gift dead captives to hordes.
  • The happy merchant will no longer repeatedly arrive at your lair.
  • Giving the wolfgirl to the wolfmen while in the wildlands is now a one-time thing.
  • The wolfgirl/wolfmen followup encounter will proc properly if you give her to them after you’ve captured her.
  • Fixed a missing image when the wolfpack take control of their former alpha.
  • Fixed a missing image when leaving Issa’s quarters.
  • Petruk no longer unexpectedly gatecrashes while you’re offering Darja to the wolf tribe.
  • Broke up some overly-long segments of text, for ease of reading on mobile.
  • Day counter and artist credit resets properly after sparing the commoner.
  • Fixed access to captive farmgirl if you have a lot of captives.
  • Giving Darja to your kobolds counts your captives correctly.
  • Fixed broken “come on” voice line during Marie-Anne’s mercenary scene.
  • Fixed missing mercenary voice lines.
  • Fixed redirect after communing in the sunken temple.
  • Corrected voice line when grumbling to the demon.
  • Numerous typo and grammar fixes.
Known Issues
  • Using the ‘skip’ function when entering a region may cause its audio components to become misaligned. So, don’t do that.

Got my first few hours of playtime in with the new version. I went with the mine as lair this time around and I found some "Easter eggs".

Once the blowjob scene for Mary-Ann was broken in the lair (it worked fine at the farm). This was the exception:

The final attack triggered at 0 days left while I was sleeping in the lair. But then the text switched me to outside and had me frantically return.
I'm also not sure whether the attack should have triggered earlier. With 1 day left sent the wolves to capture the witch.


All in all some good new stuff. And although the Easter eggs are numerous this time around it looks promising.

I have an animator on board, but I'm working with a small budget at the moment and cannot afford animated scenes. Later on, if the game becomes more popular, I'd love to have them!

A mod needs to update the OP for it to show up as and update on F95zone. You can download the version from from the itch.io page for now.
