She's a threat when you're a threat to her. Otherwise she goes full on supportive wife mode. Offering advice but ultimately bowing to your choices. Like are there scenes that were added that I'm not aware of? It's been a while since I played. So maybe I'm the one who's out of the loop.

I played one game where I insisted on going against her wishes (don't even remember what about), she turned on the mind control. Never again. All games after that she winds up either dead on the balcony or a filthy cum dumpster in my dungeon (or occasionally a toy for Malagar's experiments if I want Darja as my queen).

I feel that she's a threat too. Why else would she have created us as a dragon if not for her own benefit? We've learnt from the lore that as dragons age they spend more and more time sleeping, during which time if she's our queen she'd effectively be the ruler. She might then plot to bring about an unfortunate fatal "accident".

State Of The Realm: September
Main story phasing, art direction, and a mystery third thing.

Hi dragon fans! The last time I had the chance to talk was back in July - unknowingly mere days before the crackdown started. Between that, the art overhaul, and work progressing the story, I haven’t had the chance to respond to all your lovely (or kindly critical) comments - sorry! But I have a lungful of air now, so I’ll take the opportunity to get you up to speed.

Main Plotline
This has been our main priority, and Mattrex and I have been working together on it. Our branching narrative means that it’s more work than you’ll see in any given playthrough (and needs to accommodate all playthroughs), but that’s the chalice we’ve chosen to sup from. I’m going to talk about its scope, so skip this section if you want to avoid very minor spoilers about what to expect.

The end of Chapter Two has three sequential phases:

• First is the special ‘crisis’ session of court, which will tackle the most important thing happening in your particular Realm. A Cataclysm is obviously top of the list, but failing that, lair factions (friendly or otherwise) get some proper screentime.
• Second is the ‘reconquest’ mechanic. If you have become estranged with one of your mortal hordes, this will be a chance to deal with them in a more conclusive (and cathartic) way. Other territories that were overlooked during your initial conquest can also be mopped up at this point.
• Third is bedtime! As with Chapter One, you deserve a little private time with your fiancee of choice. Or, if you’ve elected to remain a bachelor, whichever poor maid happens to be closest at hand.

After discussing with the team, I have decided to break from tradition - we will release each phase as it is ready, rather than waiting to dump it all at once. Our changelogs will tell you exactly what is delivered and when. This will stop you from waiting, aid us in testing, and allow us to avoid most/all of the logic pitfalls that typify a major update.

This means that we will release the first phase in the next update! Woo! Depending on how the last steps go, our next update will arrive either at the end of this month or sometime in the next one. Wish us luck.

Art Direction
We’re not sitting on our laurels after the recent overhaul. Lubbio will continue drawing our new scenes and critical remasters, now with more focused support from me, and I am also getting help from Sintax on bringing pieces up to a final standard. Undoodle has been moved over from her work on

I actually understand your point because I kinda share it - big emphasis on 'kinda'. She has control over us, and depending on how you played your Bad Dragon, it would make a perfect sense for him to snap and repurpose mom-queen into fuckhole-prisoner. Also, game has no ending yet and it won't surprise me if keeping Adeline around would reduce Bad Dragon into a second fiddle pr even a scaly dog on a leash under her complete control.

Then again - it's less of a character expectation and more of a narrative expectation. I do not believe Adeline would go that far without reason (maybe keeping her alive in the dungeon would lead to that end, ha!), just the game is pretty much in a dark fantasy sub-genre. Treachery, misery and fuckery (of both kinds) is the names of the game!

So, one may be tempted to dispose of Adeline just so his Bad Dragon may not be limited by anyone's will, even in theory.


But to be fair to Adeline's character - you HAVE to push her for her to snap. And do so very hard:

"Oh, yeah, dear mom-queen whom I just rescued from the peril! Now I am going to tear apart your life's purpose and dreams! WHY FIGHT ME?!! MOM-QUEEN BAD!!! MILLION YEARS OF DUNGEON!!!"

That's basically a case of dragon needing this handbook:

To be fair, Adeline's own explanation of just doing what she thought was her birthright and duty makes sense in-story and in-character, leaving little reason to doubt her. Keeping some information from us she may be, but her reactions on your betrayals speaks volume not only on how she's afraid to lose what she deems rightfully hers, but to be betrayed by you. You doing so hurt her very much, it may not be purely egotistical thing.

Tips: Both Elves can safely big-banged after Act III is over, without a risk of impregnation. If you didn't fucked Heloise(the whity elf), she might get runaway if ungagged. Valzira(the purple one) is still not tameable, but might be after chapter 2(or not).

AKA, Malice is entirely a skill issue and should usually be the best option
